Tire repair

Each driver at least once faced with the problem of tire repair. Thanks to modern technologies, almost any tire can be repaired today. Repair of tires can be divided into two groups: complex and simple. The latter deals with tire punctures. Complicated refers to lateral cuts and to the so-called "hernia" on the surface.

Such tire repair is impossible without special equipment and observance of certain technologies. Independently in your garage you will not do anything cut car. Therefore, if you need to repair the side cuts of tires, immediately contact tire fitting. Well, if you "picked up" a nail, then pull it out will not be very difficult. Remove the screw, a piece of wire or a splinter is possible with the presence of certain tools that are available in almost every trunk. Well, if the nail has damaged the camera, it is better to send it to vulcanization. This process does not take much time, and even the poorest driver can afford it. Of course, you can also vulcanize the tire yourself, but be prepared to spend a few hours of personal time on this.

In the near future, the wheels with the camera will go to distant history. And all because tubeless have a number of advantages, including safety of trips. Repair of tubeless tires is best entrusted to specialists. Although in the auto shops there are special sealants, thanks to which you can repair the punctured tire even on the road. This method is called a temporary (simplified) repair. After it, you must necessarily remove the tire from the rim and make a final restoration. Unfortunately, sealants are unable to repair the puncture 100 percent. They are designed for those who are on the road, away from the nearest tire fitting. After all, when using sealant, you do not need wrenches or even a jack.

Repair of tires and their method depends on the type, as well as the place of damage to the tire. The latter have a common design, consisting of a frame (the main power element, on which the strength of the tire depends), as well as several layers of the court (special threads fastened on the side rings).

Details of damage

Puncture is a minor damage with possible loss of pressure and airtightness of the tire. The cut is a major tire damage with a break in the yarn of the court and a complete loss of tightness. Often, cuts happen when you hit a broken glass, sharp metal objects and even with a sloppy attack on the curb.

Also on the rubber surface there may be a slight swelling (in the people this phenomenon is called a "hernia"). The reason for this can be the detachment of the outer layer of the tire from the cord (it is impossible to restore the original properties and characteristics). Also, the "hernia" is formed due to the rupture of filaments in the frame (in this case, it is almost impossible to determine the exact place of injury). In this case, it is more cost-effective to buy a new tire, rather than repair tires. And if you do not make the change in time, then at the most inopportune moment the old rubber can burst.
