The biggest Ferris wheel in the world: will they build in Moscow?

Today the world's largest Ferris wheel operates in Singapore. His design and construction involved the Japanese, so it's no wonder that it turned out to be not only the highest, but in reliability with it, no modern attraction can not be argued. Visitors can stay in his 28 cabins for 28 people each. The largest Ferris wheel in the world allows you to enjoy the views of Singapore, some areas of Indonesia and Malaysia from a height of 163 meters.

Before the work began, "Soaring Singapore" (this is the name of this attraction), the leading Ferris wheel was in London. Those who wish can survey the capital of Great Britain in its booths at a level of 134 meters from the ground. Today's second number in the rating "The biggest wheel in the world" is a booth made of metal and glass, behind which a breathtaking view of an old and super modern city opens.

Such a miracle of technology and scientific progress, but only more impressive in height, has been planned for several years in the Russian capital. One of the most promising projects is the 220-meter ferris wheel, which is expected to be built either at VVC, or in Gorky Park, or on Vernadsky Prospekt. Such ambitious plans arose in the local authorities in 2002, but then the project remained on paper.

Will Moscow soon receive the largest Ferris wheel in the world, is not yet clear. But steps have already been taken to implement these plans. So, for example, for today the project of an attraction is approved. It was developed by the American architectural bureau, among known works which London park River Park and the Shanghai skyscraper of 632-meter height.

It is planned that the largest Ferris wheel in the world that can be built in Moscow will have an unconventional look. Firstly, its design does not provide for classic spokes connecting the cabins to the wheel axle. They will move on rails. Secondly, special attention to the Moscow damn wheel will attract a spire of 320 meters in height, which will erect close to it. And at the foot of the attraction there is another wheel, however, already in a horizontal position from the ground, where various restaurants, shops, cinemas and even a round-the-clock skating rink will be located along the perimeter. Inside this ring, according to the project, fountains and registry office will work, under it will bloom gardens. Naturally, the construction of this scale should have a separate parking, which is planned to be built in the immediate vicinity of the entertainment complex. Its capacity is 2.5 thousand cars.

But while these are all just plans, and the "Moscow view" (the working title of the attraction) exists only on paper and in electronic form. Already there are companies that are ready to invest in this grandiose construction, but the relevant competitions have not yet been held. In Russia, the city where the biggest Ferris wheel is already running, while Sochi is considered. Its height is just over 80 meters. At the same time, 140 people can ride on it.
