The attack of Germany on the USSR

The second world revolutionized the map of the world, its significance is not understated even by the most hardened skeptics. The main part of the war - WWII - also causes serious interest among many residents of the modern world. Around the reasons for the outbreak of the war, its course and result, there are many rumors that are often offensive to the inhabitants of our country, whose grandfathers and great-grandfathers remained on the battlefields.

To this day, there are thousands of publications on the beginning of this confrontation. The main event on the eve of the war is, of course, the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. After that, a treaty of friendship was drawn up. Concerned about the military successes of the Wehrmacht, the Soviet leadership showed initiative in this matter by inscribing the phrase about good-neighborliness in the text of the treaty.

The next stage of pre-war relations between Russia and Germany is characterized by mutual cooling. At the time, Hitler had already obtained everything he wanted. Now the observance of contracts with Russia has ceased to be beneficial to him, and he began to act contrary to the agreements. Soon, Barbarossa's plan entered into development, and the German government finally lost interest in cooperation. The Soviet government, meanwhile, followed the terms of the adopted treaties.

The relations between Soviet Russia and Germany represented an ignoring of international legal norms and were a conspiracy of dictators.

At the beginning of the Second World War, Germany and the USSR developed in accordance with the Non-Aggression Pact. But in the spring, sharp cooling began. At that time, there was a message about the building up of the military might of the Wehrmacht at the borders of the Soviet Union. An official request was sent to which Hitler replied that his army was conducting military exercises in these areas .

When France fell, Stalin realized that Germany was no longer interested in the neutrality of the USSR. Soon came a proposal from Churchill to improve relations. At the same time, Germany concluded a "tripartite agreement" with Italy and Japan.

In October 1940, Finland placed on its territory fascist troops, which could carry out Germany's attack on the USSR.

Another aggravation happened in late 1940. In Poland and Prussia, the number of fascist troops increased. In response, Stalin stopped the supply of goods to Germany. The troops were partly alerted to prevent Germany from attacking the USSR, Hitler assured Stalin that the troops were not concentrated in the direction of the Union, that the non-aggression treaty remained in force. But the situation was heated, although the Soviet government did not believe in the possibility of an insidious attack until the last, and even being warned, did not take active measures to organize the defense.

06/22/1941. Germany attacked the USSR.

Preparations for the attack went on at an active pace throughout the year. Hitler was determined to destroy the vitality of Soviet people. By the end of December, a plan for war with the USSR had been approved. Germany's attack on the USSR was a matter of time.

The defensive capability of the Soviet Union was at a sufficient level due to the continuous imperialist danger. But the new weapons for 41 years have not yet arrived in the USSR, the level of leadership training left much to be desired, the intricate relations with Germany allowed German officers to manage the borders.

It should be noted that the attack of fascist Germany on the USSR was not expected. Although such an opportunity was worked out in the Kremlin's offices, Soviet leaders were not aware of the exact date of the attack. Soviet intelligence was engaged in checking dozens of critical issues, the answers to which would have prevented the attack of fascist Germany on the USSR. Together, all these factors have caused the inability of the Soviet Union to adequately respond to Germany's blow, which was particularly noticeable at first. Hitler wanted to make full use of the effect of surprise, and he did it perfectly. His plan was worked out in detail, to the smallest detail. The leadership of the Soviet Union did not have such an advantage.

The generally recognized reasons for Germany's attack on the USSR are unknown. Although the situation seems obvious, but the documents and testimonies indicate that this story is an example of political insidiousness, combined with a dictatorship.
