Shtil Georgiy Antonovich: biography, filmography

Artist George Shtil did not play high-profile roles, did not receive prestigious awards at film festivals. However, he was present in the frame of many of our favorite films and demonstrated his skills, even in the background. How did the life of the master of episodes develop and what pictures with his participation were remembered most of all by the audience?

George was born in early March 1932 in Leningrad. Shtil Georgiy Antonovich, whose nationality is rather difficult to determine, has an ancestor of Germans and Poles in his family. However, in the family, as the actor told in one of his interviews, he was spoken in German. Moreover, before the war he was engaged in German with a German governess.

With the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, little Gosh was sent to evacuation to Bashkortostan. The German father was not called to the front because of his nationality, but he did not become repressed either, he continued to work at the plant.

After the liberation of Leningrad, the whole family of Shtiley returned home. George first planned to enter the flight school. But so there were circumstances that he did not pass the exam in German. It was then that he came up with the idea to try his hand at acting. George was even admitted to the Moscow Art Theater School, but he realized that he would not be able to leave Leningrad for a long time, so he returned to his hometown and entered St. Petersburg State Technical University.

The beginning of film career

Shtil Georgiy Antonovich first starred in the film in 1959, playing the episodic role of a soldier in the film "The Youth of an Officer."

In 1963, Roman Tikhomirov shot the vaudeville "The Fortress Actress" and took Shtylya to the role of Fedka's servant. Also during this period the actor played the pilot in the fantastic film "The Barrier of Uncertainty".

The next famous picture with George's participation was the drama "Don's story". This tragic story was directed by Vladimir Fetin. Speech in the picture was about the times of the Civil War. The hero of Eugene Leonov is a Red Army man, and his beloved is a Don Cossack who is for the power of whites. Yakov Shibalkok's girl betrays both him and his Red Army detachment. In retaliation, Yakov shoots her, but they still have a young son. The relationship between father and son later becomes the center of the drama on the screen. George Shtil in this tape got the role of the second plan - a character named Zotov.

Quite a large role was in the actor in the 1967 war movie "Zhenya, Zhenechka and Katyusha." The film was directed by Vladimir Motyl ("The Star of Captivating Happiness"), and the script to the project was written by the poet and prose writer Bulat Okudzhava.

The plot of the picture is comic and romantic, and tragic at the same time. The protagonist - Evgeni Kolyshkin - serves in the Soviet troops in the rank of privates. He is from an intelligent family, so for him, war is something poetic, he does not take everything seriously. Kolyshkin reality is a plot of an exciting book, which he used to read at home.

At the front, Eugene meets his namesake - the charming Zhenechka, who serves as a radio operator. They have a romantic relationship. Together, the guys reach Berlin. However, in an absurd accident in one of the houses of the German capital Kolyshkin and his girlfriend break into a German who kills a girl.

Shtil Georgy Antonovich in Motyl's painting played the unit commander, in which Kolyshkin served. Lieutenant Romadin on the plot was forced to constantly pull out Eugene from the most ridiculous situations.

"New Year's adventures of Masha and Vitya"

However, most of all to spectators Shtil Georgy Antonovich was remembered for his role in the fairy tale "New Adventures of Masha and Viti". It was one of the few films in which the actor got the lead role.

New Year's fairy tale was shot by Igor Usov ("Blue Bird") and Gennady Kazansky ("Amphibian Man") under the script of Pavel Finn ("The Horseman without a Head"). Speech in the children's film is about the little friends of Vita and Masha, to whom the New Year did not come Snegurochka for the holiday. Then the children decide to go to the Fairy Tale to rescue the granddaughter of Santa Claus.

Vitya is the "brain" of the rescue team, and Masha is a sympathetic heart. "Sibiriada"

Shtil Georgiy Antonovich also played in the epoch-making picture of Andrei Konchalovsky's "Sibiriada". This epic multi-part film describes the fate of several generations of Ustyuzhanin and Solomin families. Both dynasties live in a small Siberian village called Elan. The main characters fall in love, marry, feud, take part in all the wars of the twentieth century, and so on.

George Shtil in this film played the episodic role of Frol.

"Slaughter Force" and "Cops"

He rarely took the lead in the movie Shtil George Antonovich. Films with his participation were not always in demand. But this statement does not apply to the series "Slaughter Force", which appeared on the screens from 1999 to 2006. In total, six seasons of the project were released. And George Stihl in this series was assigned the role of father-in-law Lieutenant Vasily Rogov (A. Fedortsev). The hero was calm, and most of all in the world he loved his little red Cossack girl.

In 2010, Shtil appeared in another militia series - "Cops". This time he was given the role of Colonel Firsov, whom the operatives called Kefirich. The actor took part in three seasons (10-13) and left the project for health reasons.

"Russians in the city of angels"

The main role went to the actor in the 2002 series called "Russians in the City of Angels". This 12-serial detective film was filmed by Rodion Nakhapetov commissioned by Channel One. The project was attended by such stars as Nikolay Dobrynin ("Matchmakers"), Lev Durov ("Old Men") and Valery Nikolayev ("Bear Hunt"). George Antonovich played the role of a character named Matvey Georgievich.

Personal life

In 1966, when Shtil was shot in the military melodrama "Zhenya, Zhenya and Katyusha," he met a member of the film crew, a decorator by the name of Rimma. A year later they formalized their relationship. Rimma and George united not only the profession, but also the love of football, in particular, the team "Zenith".

Forty years lived in this marriage Shtil George Antonovich. The couple's children were never born. In 2000, Rima Pavlovna suffered a stroke, and then died.

Nobody expected, but the 80-year-old actor married again a year later - on the osteopathic doctor Liane, who was younger than him for almost fifteen years. Together, the couple lives to this day. George Shtil continues to act in films: his last work dates back to 2013, when the artist appeared on the screen in the image of Kibby's notary in the series "Sherlock Holmes".
