Self-sufficiency is the desire for solitude or escape from reality?

In our time it is fashionable to be a strong spirit man. It's not even in fashion, but in need. The modern way of life does not leave us any other choice. Constant competition at work and in private life, growing needs and A catastrophic lack of free time - a little slabinka, and the cycle of life events will throw you ashore, as an unnecessary load.

In such an unfavorable atmosphere, a person must not only constantly keep the conquered positions, but also improve himself. The discrepancy between the demands of society and our own forces for meeting needs is the main cause of stress and depression.

What should be the ideal man of the 21st century? Clever, educated, well-groomed, law-abiding, well-bred, self-sufficient? Yes, self-sufficiency is what distinguishes a spiritually mature person from a complexed individual. This maturity causes respect, envy, the desire to imitate and a gamut of other conflicting feelings. It is believed that a self-sufficient person is something isolated, self-contained and self-supporting, free from the opinions of others and other prejudices. But does such freedom mean happiness? And is the person who is not reached a certain height self-sufficient, but satisfied with his current state of affairs? In which spheres of life is this quality manifested?

From the point of view of psychology, self-sufficiency is the ability of the individual to overcome his problems and satisfy his needs with his own forces. The main qualities of a self-sufficient mature person are the absence of fear and full acceptance of responsibility for one's actions. If such a person does something, then it does it primarily for themselves and for their loved ones, the opinion of others around here is not at all an indispensable attribute, praise and respect - it is rather a pleasant addition to the satisfaction that has already been obtained from the work successfully done. Self-sufficiency can manifest itself in different spheres of life:

1. In the economic - means the independence of decision-making in everyday matters.

2. In social - means the recognition and competence of a person in those matters with which he is engaged. It is important that the individual himself is satisfied with himself and with his work.

3. In the psychological - means acceptance of oneself, absence of fear or discomfort before possible loneliness. A person is not afraid of his internal problems, he has something to do alone with himself. However, self-sufficiency is It is not a lack of affection or love for anyone. It's just a lack of dependency.

As for such a controversial category as the woman's self-sufficiency, there is only one thing to be said here: excessive ostentatious confidence and strength can help build a career, but in relationships with representatives of the opposite sex they are inappropriate. Failure to comply with this simple rule often leads to problems in your personal life.

Self-sufficiency is not an inborn quality, it is acquired in the process of development and social adaptation. You can develop it purposefully, working on yourself. Remember that only you are the creator of your life, responsible for everything that happens in it.
