Raspberry jacket as a symbol of a bygone era

What distinguishes the new Russian era of the 90's from the Russian businessman of our days? We carry out the associative series. The first thing that comes to mind: a mobile the size of sneakers, thick gold chains and crosses on the chest, handbags, cars of domestic production from those who are victorious, and black cars for real rich people. But the most important thing is the crimson jackets. Only in this way, the paunchy and bald nouveau riche look exactly as it should be in their status.

Yes, at present, the crimson jacket is indeed a characteristic feature of the long-gone era of the financial pyramids, the turbulent activity of the Russian mafia, the development of market trade, the refusal of censorship on television and in the press, the decline in the standard of living of the average population and the heyday of prostitution, alcoholism, drug addiction ... Yes, these were our 90's. But let's return to the new Russians and their style.

Raspberry jacket is not accidentally appeared on the shelves of retail outlets and expensive boutiques of the capital. According to history, in the early 90's, namely in 1992, the Versace Fashion House showed the world a new collection, the main accent of which was crimson blazers. The nouveau riche, who had not previously followed fashion trends and did not have large sums of money in their pockets, decided that the status should be highlighted in a vivid and memorable way. So, those who richer, bought originals from Versace, beginner entrepreneurs and bandits were content with Chinese copies. So the crimson jacket became a uniform of the new Russians. Designers of the former All-Union republic (Slava Zaitsev, for example), also worked for the benefit of bandits, sewing more and more new models of clothing.

What complemented their new image of bandyugans from the 90's? Especially bold and brave were not afraid to combine a crimson jacket with sports pants from "Adidas" and classic shoes from artificial leather. Those who were close to the elite did not allow themselves such luxury and went around with black trousers, but they never forgot about gold ornaments and a purse.

In general, the jacket is only a symbol of the era, in fact, a lot can be said about the style and life of the new Russians of the early 1990s. So, for example, they all built identical houses of red brick, similar to locks. Until now, similar architectural constructions under construction can be found in summer cottages near the city. When choosing a car, the nouveau riches did not show any imagination either. As a rule, rich brothers bought themselves a Mercedes 600- model, BMW "Grand Cherokee" or the good old VAZ-21099.

Returning to fashion, it is worth mentioning that due to all known political events, the "Iron Curtain" was opened, cheap cheap goods from Turkey and China began to import into the country. Gangsters greedy for novelties and their wives actively acquired fashionable rubbish and were considered legislators of the style of all Russia. Boat shoes with a thin hairpin, sports pants made of various synthetic materials, jeans-varenki unknown to the world of companies and much more. Among other things, children's toys from China, American harmful food (which is still popular) and many other things appeared on the markets and in stores, which we now remember with some nostalgia.

Of course, even now you can buy a crimson jacket in any fashion department (good, fashion is cyclical), but that era can not be returned. The 90's remained in history.
