Coakal Peter is a hockey player who was born on August 16, 1982 in the Czech city of Zdar nad Sazavou. In the family of doctor Frantisek Koukala and teacher Bozhena Koukal. He was not the only child in the family, his older brother is a famous Czech skier.

That's how parents who are far from this sphere, were born just two talented athletes. Skier Martin Koukal and Peter Koukal, hockey for which became the most favorite sport.

From the very childhood, taking the example from his older brother, the future player of the Czech national team took a great interest in sports. According to Koukala himself, it was his brother who inspired him to devote his life to sports. He started hockey in the section of his native city and eventually moved to a special school of sports.

Even then, the coaches noted the speed and style of the young Peter. After graduation he successfully passed all the entrance examinations and entered the Institute of Physical Education, where he received a diploma of a qualified hockey coach. Who knows, maybe he is destined to become a well-known mentor in the future.

The beginning of sports career

The player's career began in the team of his native city, but the athlete needed to go to a more serious level. Therefore, Peter Coakal accepted the offer of one of the grandees of the Czech hockey club Pardubice. It happened in 2001. Looking ahead, it is worth noting that in this club Koukal spent 11 years (of course, there were several leases, but the player always returned back). As part of Pardubice, he won the national championship three times, and spent the last two seasons with the captain's armband.

Only when the player was 30 years old, he decided to test his forces abroad and moved to Nizhnekamsk "Neftekhimik", playing in the KHL. As part of the new club, Peter Koukal spent 2 seasons and during this time managed to take part in 108 games and collect a total of 60 points.

In 2014, the player joined the Finnish "Yokerrit", which was to debut in the championship of the KHL. His new club took the 5th place in the final standings, but in the second round of the playoffs was beaten by the Minsk "Dynamo". During the season, Peter Koukal spent 66 matches, which scored 36 points.

Season 2015/2016 Koukal has already started as part of the "Motorist". In the first season, thanks to his experience, he gained the trust of the coaching staff and became a player of the first level. At the end of the championship Peter received a good score of experts. He took part in 65 games, which scored 42 points. At the moment he continues performances for "Motorist".

As part of the national team, Peter took part in 16 games (2 goals and 3 assists). On a successful world championship for the Czechs in 2010, I received a gold medal. In 2012, success was only partially replicated - bronze. Despite the intense sport life, Peter Koukal is an excellent family man. According to his colleagues and friends, he is very fond of his wife and daughter. His brother, Martin Koukal, is the world champion and prize-winner of the Olympic Games in skiing. The brothers are very close and support each other in different life situations.
