Primorsky Krai, Telyakovsky Bay

In the Primorsky Territory there are at least two bays of Telyakovsky, two capes named after him, the Telyakivka River in the Khasansky District and a village. Who is he, this Telyakovsky? Many names Primorsky Territory received during the first drawing on the map, made in 1862-1863 years during the expedition of VM Babkin, or during the hydrographic works produced in these places in 1891-1894. The expedition was headed by Lieutenant P. A. Mikhelson. And Lieutenant Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Telyakovsky (1869-1896) was a part of the topographic survey in the party of the lieutenant of the corps of naval navigators Mikhelson.

Named after the discoverers

The Gamow Peninsula, on the eastern part of which the Telyakovsky Bay is located, received its name in honor of DI Gamow, the midshipman of the crew of the frigate Pallada, who opened this peninsula in 1854. This expedition is described in detail in the self-titled work of IA Goncharov, who took part in the expedition of the frigate Pallada, sent with a diplomatic mission to Japan in 1852-1855. Then the ship proceeded to the Russian shores, opening along the way bays, capes, islands. The names of the participants of the expedition, somehow manifested themselves in the description of an object, were appropriated to him. This is what concerns the handsome man of the peninsula, the main pearl of which, and the whole Primorye in general, is the Telyakovsky Bay.

Rocky and impregnable

It, described in detail in the 90s of the XIX century, is located between the two capes - Gamow and Telyakovskogo. The smaller bay has a rather large depth - 38 meters. The water in it is so clean that the bottom of the coastal hills is visible. The bay, deepening to the eastern part of the Gamow Peninsula, has coasts mostly rocky and precipitous, at the foot of which are strewn with fragments of rocks and boulders. And towards the top of the peninsula there is a depression between the hills of Mt. Tumannaya, whose slopes are riddled with ravines. Three streams running along them, flow into the bay. In the north-eastern part of the bay flows the river Telyakovka.

Deep, but you can moor

Bay Telyakovskogo two promontories protected from the winds and the winter does not freeze, although here come the drifting ice. This is mainly from January to March. The bottom of the bay is sandy-stone. In the bay there are two small rocky islets: one on the north side, the other on the south-west. At the coast of the bay, the sea is deeper than in the center, and therefore anchor places are located here, at a depth of 25 meters, and the ground here is sandy. Can small vessels moor closer to the shore? At the top of the bay, where the depth is 10-12 meters.

Main attraction

The Hasan district occupies part of the Gamow Peninsula, and Telyakovskiy Bay, which forms its coastline, is also part of it. The main attraction of the beautiful bay is the Island of the Tearing Heart. The name is more than exciting. It must be stipulated that this bay is the most southern of the Far Eastern marine reserve, or rather, one part of it belongs to the FGBM where there is no entrance to tourists, and the other is open to visitors. Fortunately, romantic visitors, the place of pilgrimage, the Island of the Tearing Heart, is not located in the reserve. The island is small, not more than 100 meters in length, and coastal - it is separated from the western part of the land only 30 meters.

Corner, taking for soul

A shallow strait that can be surfaced. The only trouble waiting for romantics is black sea urchins, whose spines, breaking off, remain in the skin and can cause the formation of purulent wounds. Just have to be careful or drive up to the island on a boat from the sea. The pilgrims' goal is on the eastern slope, the farthest from the shore. In a small natural origin a 100-year-old hollow resting stone resembles a heart-shaped outline. Moreover, he, according to the testimony of those who visited it, is covered with a lot of veins. Heart, and only. In times of tides, this natural landmark produces sounds that are like heart beats. There is a belief that when you touch it, you can revive the extinct love or guarantee to meet a new one. This island from afar resembles Bonaparte's headdress and therefore has another, less romantic name - Cap Napoleon. A wonderful piece of sushi is famous for its thick wild rose hips and relic grove consisting of grave pines that grow only on the Gamow peninsula.

Local Endemics

Bay Telyakovskogo (Primorsky Krai) attracts tourists is these pine trees, which are listed in the Red Book. In addition, it is believed that they have a miraculous healing power: it is worth hugging the trunk and standing as little as all bad leaves the soul, and it is filled with goodness. Together with the evil go and disease. This plant is a species of the Manchurian relic pine. According to the legend, this tree was planted on the grave of the deceased soldier, and it absorbed the strength and nobility of the hero. Very beautiful legend. Other names of this endemic (inherent only in this place) are funerary and multicolor. At the end of spring and early summer, when large white and pink flowers of the Shlippenbach rhododendron and spiky flowers bloom and cover the slopes of the mountains, the bay looks like a fairy tale.

First victim

Bay Telyakovskogo (Primorsky Krai) was widely known to the inhabitants of this region only. It attracted by the extraordinary beauty of the surrounding places, the silence and the clear sea. But in August 2011, she became notorious outside of Primorye. It is this month that the water in the bay warms the most and sharks come in here. It was not a secret to anyone, but predators, 4 species of which live here permanently, never touched people. On August 17, a man-eating shark attacked a 25-year-old man (Denis Udovenko), a resident of Vladivostok, who came here to rest. In the hospital, the man was amputated by both arms, legs and torso were also damaged.

There are more dangers

Several trawlers went out in search of an ogre, fearing that the shark would return to the site of the first attack. Therefore, the bay of Telyakovsky was especially protected. The shark repeated the attack on August 18, but much further north, near the island of Zheltukhin. Here a 16-year-old young man was seriously injured in his lower limbs. In Primorye, there are several species of sharks living here all the time, and in summer for migrating schools of fish, up to 12 species of these predators swim here, among them killers such as a mako and a white shark. As a result of hunting in August, two two-meter-long fish were caught by the services of the Ministry of Emergencies.

Maybe luck

Among vacationers, all the time, explanatory work is carried out both about the ban on visiting the reserve, the conditional border of which passes through the territory of Telyakovskiy bay, and about the danger of swim and diving. But carelessness and disobedience of relaxing vacationers are shocking: according to the testimony of guards and rescuers, they "climb and climb" and into the reserve and the ocean. And the bottom in the bay is incredibly beautiful. In addition, along the entire coast at different depths are parts of the sunken here in 1897 steamship "Vladimir", crashed into the Gamow Cape. The bay, which is famous for its unusual aura, this catastrophe did not overshadow, as none of the crew and passengers suffered (the ship's nose crashed into the shore) and all of them were rescued in two days.

Unknown beauty

The pearl of Primorye - Bay Telyakovskogo, the photo of which is attached, is really unusually beautiful, and what a pity that this amazing land is so far not only from the European part of Russia, but also from the Urals.

But in wide access there are collections of amazing beauty photos made by people who are in love with this land. Naturally, those who heard the name of the bay for the first time, at least in connection with the attack of the cannibal, the question arises: where is Telyakovsky Bay? It was noted above that it is located in the east of the Gamow Peninsula, southern Primorye.

Transportation is just a car

In the bay itself, only a wild rest with tents is possible, but in 16 minutes (5.5 km) there is the Vityaz Bay located on the western coast of the Gamow Peninsula. Here, as in the village of Andreevka, located on the shore of the Trinity Bay, there are many recreation centers for every taste. The village of Andreevka is connected to the Vityaz Bay by the only road. The distance is 10 km, the journey time is approximately 30 minutes. There is a road along the western coast of the peninsula. Wild tourists and holidaymakers in these towns people are the main visitors of such a gift of nature, as Telyakovsky Bay. How to get to it from a number of located settlements? Or by car, or by sea.

In the first case, they go on a dirt road from the village of Vityaz, from which there are three more primers - to the lighthouse (Cape Gamow), to the bay of Astaf'ev, famous for white sand, and to Cape Shultz. There are no other ways. You can drive by car only to the coastal edge, and then on the bay of Telyakovsky only move on foot. It is more comfortable to get to the sea, and the views of the coast are incredibly beautiful from this side.

How to get from large Far Eastern cities?

How to get to Telyakovskiy Bay from Vladivostok? From the stop "Factory" Dawn "" to Andreevka - 220 km, you need to go through Razdolnoye before turning to Slavyanka. From Vladivostok same - ferry from berth No. 36 to Slavyanka, then - to Andreevka. You can take bus number 521, which goes to the center of Andreevka. From Khabarovsk go to Krasino, after Ussuriysk - to Andreevka. And from this village, as it was said above, - to the village of Vityaz along the road, which leaves much to be desired, and further - to the bay of Telyakovsky. In the villages of Vityaz and Andreevka there are a lot of modern, well equipped recreation centers that meet all modern requirements.

Bay Telyakovskogo (Primorsky Krai) rest can provide only hardy lovers of wild and unapproachable nature: and it is difficult to get to, and live without basic amenities, few will agree. True, it should be noted that the impressions received in this extraordinary place make the holiday unforgettable.

Complete opposite

At the beginning of the article it was pointed out that there are two bays in the Primorsky Territory with this name. The second bay of Telyakovskogo (Shkotovsky district) is located in the upper part of the Ussuriysky gulf. The distance from Vladivostok to the village of Shkotovo is 62 km, the journey time is a little over an hour. From this village one must get on a bad road to the former garrison, which belongs to the abandoned airfield "Pristan". In one of the abandoned five-story buildings in some places people still live. The impression is unhappy, and the bay, which is nearby, is the complete opposite of the Khasansky district: the beach is dirty, the sea is strongly overgrown with algae. Everywhere reigns desolation.
