The director of the picture is the famous Jerzy Hoffman, on whose account such masterpieces of cinema as "Fire and sword", "Flood". The film "Until the last drop of blood" was duplicated by Soviet actors, was a success in the USSR. But the next film by writer and director Jerzy Hoffman, created based on the novel by Dolenga Mostovich, in which actress Anna Dymna also played the main female role, caused a real sensation.

A tragic story with a happy ending

A world-famous surgeon comes home one day and learns that his wife fell in love with another. He learns this from a letter that a woman leaves before leaving, taking with her a small daughter. The hero of history has nothing left to do but go to a drinking establishment and try to drown the pain in wine. What he does.

But the visit to the tavern ends sadly for him. The doctor becomes a victim of robbery, loses memory. Then he wandered for several years. And only after a long time, becoming a famous healer, he recalls his name. And this is due to the newly found daughter - Marys, played by Anna Dymna (photo of the heroine below).

The film is called "The Witch Doctor". This is one of the most famous Polish films of the 80s. After his show, the name of the performer of the role of Marysi became known in the Soviet Union. And seven years later Maciej Wojtyshko invited the actress to the main role in the film on the book of the Russian writer.

"The Master and Margarita"

Directed to the text Bulgakov treated extremely carefully. Almost all the dialogues in the adaptation of the cult novel in the film Wojtyshko preserved.
