OBS: Twitch WOT Streaming

OBS is a specialized utility that is designed to facilitate a user's aired broadcast. Despite the fact that at the moment, according to the developers, the program is actively tested and does not yet represent a final version, it has quite a solid functionality that allows you to organize a really high-quality broadcast.

Among other things, it should be noted that the OBS program itself is absolutely free, easy to configure and install, while it's worth noting that in the OBS-tuning streaming Twitch is much more convenient for many compared to its direct Competitor - Xsplit.

How to install?

In order to install this program, you must use the operating system Windows Vista or a younger version, because it uses DirectX 10. Another subtlety that you need to pay attention to is that in no case can not install the program in Folder with names in Cyrillic. It is worth noting that no additional tweaking in OBS at this stage will be implemented.

It should immediately be noted that the program was originally translated into Russian, so that it can easily be loaded with it from the start by default. It is worth noting the fact that if you have at least a basic knowledge of English, then in this case it is desirable that the OBS setting for streaming Twitch CS: GO or WoT is carried out on it, so you do not have to face any Difficulties or confusion due to mistakes in translation. To do this, it is enough to go to the options that are located in the lower right corner of the screen, then select English from the drop-down list. After that, the program completely restarts.

Remember: before starting the snapshot, make sure that the Twitch Stream setting is done correctly in OBS: in particular, make adjustments to the scenes, as well as adjust the quality of the shooting.

Features of settings

In the settings you should pay attention to a few basic points:

  • Scene - a combination of several settings that will determine what the viewer will see on his screen after running this stream. The scenes used can be renamed, deleted, set to hot keys, and moved to the list of scenes relative to each other.
  • Sources - various individual elements of the scene, placed on the screen. It should be noted that initially there are only six main types of sources in the access. It: a slide show, text, images, capture a picture from a specific program, capture a picture from the game or capture a picture from a video source. If necessary, the sources can be removed from the scene - just simply remove the tick next to the item of interest.

Detailed setup

Accordingly, in order for OBS to correctly configure the Twitch stream, it is necessary to use a single source and a scene. You will need to create a new scene by clicking on the PCM on the field near the Scenes, and select the Add Scene section from the pop-up window. After that it will be necessary to come up with a name for the new scene and click the "Ok" button.

Next, click on the PCM on the field near Sources and select Add Software Capture Source in the pop-up window . Now think up a name for the new source and also click "Ok". After that, the program capture settings window will open. In this window, you do not need any further adjustment of the Twitch stream in OBS, since you can just leave the data that is there by default, then click the Preview Stream button in the lower right part of the window.

Quality

Now the quality setting for OBS for the Twitch WoT stream begins. To open this settings menu, go to the Settings menu.

Immediately worth noting is the fact that all the settings are distributed by profiles, and to add your new profile, you need to click on the Add button. Best of all, in OBS 0.651, the Twitch Stream setting is done so that the profiles are named according to the channel name to which the stream will be applied, since this will be the most optimal option for switching to different channels without manually changing the settings.

It should be noted that recently developers have provided users with the opportunity to use approximate settings for their program, depending on certain technical characteristics of your computer. To do this, you must first go to the page, then choose the most optimal option among a number of suggested and click Recommend Settings. It is likely that the proposed settings will not allow you to immediately start streaming in optimal quality and without any lags, but they will serve as a starting point for subsequent, more fine-tuning.

Coding

Coding is one of the main items that includes setting up OBS for streaming Twitch without lags. This setting has a direct impact on the quality of the shooting, because if it is not correctly set, bugs may appear. Or instead of a normal picture there will be squares everywhere. It is for this reason that you must first determine the speed of your Internet channel, then set the settings in accordance with the table ApocTV or Zero Talent.

Broadcast Settings

  • Live stream. You will not be recording video, but stream, that is, recording in real time.
  • Stream Service is chosen depending on which service you use to create the channel. It is worth noting that for services that are not included in this list, there is the option Custom.
  • Server - selects the server to which this stream will be transferred.

In addition, do not forget that in the Video section you will need to correctly configure settings such as resolution and FPS so that all your viewers see the optimal image quality.

Thus, you can optimally configure your stream in the World of Tanks, so that your viewers can see a really good picture, and at the same time they did not notice any lags or all sorts of errors that worsen visibility and spoil the general opinion about your channel. At the same time, exactly the same setting, among other things, can be used in other games.
