Biography

Actress Irina Malikova was born in November 1945 in Moscow, the capital of Russia. At the age of 19 she started her studies at the Drama Studio at the Central Children's Theater. After her graduation she worked for about 20 years in the troupe of the Central Theater for Children - now the Russian Academic Youth Theater.

Fame for Irina Malikova came to 35 years. Just at that time she graduated from the State Institute of Theatrical Arts. A. V. Lunacharsky, where she studied with O. Ya. Remez. In 1970 Irina Malikova married Mikhail Zhigalov, a famous Soviet and Russian actor, Honored Artist of the RSFSR. In the union with Michael, Irina had a son, Vasily, in 1980.
