Instead of a denture - a pin in the tooth!

The pin in the tooth is established when the crown part of it is destroyed more than half. This step allows you to restore even a severely damaged dental system, and hence chewing functions. A person gets a new opportunity to eat fully, without giving up vegetables and rough food. About what pins are and what they are made of, read below.

1. Anchor pin in the tooth. It is made of a triple alloy: palladium-gold-platinum. An anchor pin can be made of titanium (plus alloys), stainless steel, brass.

Such foundations are divided into passive (fixed only by cement) and active (screwed by thread, fixed with cement).

2. Fiberglass pin in the tooth . Precisely because of the revealed shortcomings (corrosion of metal, fragility of connection, unaesthetic), predecessors are not suitable for teeth of frontal, complicated removal from the channel made dentists seek a new solution. The result was a fiberglass pin. It is already clear from the title that it is made of glass fibers. The composition also includes a plastic epoxy matrix, which accounts for about a third of the weight of the pin. Glass fibers play the role of a reinforcing element. They are located along the axis horizontally, which ensures an even distribution of the load created on the tooth. The transparency of the material allows you to use a pin on those that are located in front.

3. The carbon fiber pin in the tooth is one of the most modern species for today. Allows you to rely on the excellent strength of the final restoration, thanks to the elasticity, comparable with the dentin index. In other words, a dentist working with such material creates an integrated complex of:

A) the pin itself;

B) Stumps;

C) the root canal.

The hydrocarbon base distributes the power stress created in the channel more evenly than the pins mentioned above. Another plus in preventing root fractures in the cured teeth.

4. Parapulp pin on the tooth - a rod construction made of an alloy of several metals (gold, steel, titanium in combination with a polymer coating). It is intended for reinforcement, as well as retention of filling materials. This pin has limited use. It is usually chosen when an additional retention of permanent filling materials is needed.

In some cases, when it comes to inserting teeth on the pins, the dentist uses the cult inserts - microprosthes holding the future artificial crown. The doctor forms a channel, under which, with the exact configuration, a pin is made, which takes on the masticatory pressure and distributes it to the entire root. Material for the stump is a special fiberglass, metal or zirconium ceramics.

How much does the pin on the tooth cost? The cost depends both on the type of basis and the materials used, and on the amount of work. Approximate amount you will be called by the attending physician after you have inspected and determined the work plan.
