How to make arches from balls: technique and recommendations

Any holiday will become brighter and more elegant if the room in which it is held is decorated with designs made of balls. Unfortunately, organizations involved in such design, take for their services very expensive. Therefore, people are often interested in how to make arches out of balls on their own, trying to save money without losing festive mood. Fortunately, this is quite possible, although it can not be said that it is very simple.

How to make an arch from balloons: stationary way

Simpler is the construction of the main entrance with the use of a finished base. If the porch or door has a similar frame (and in many restaurants and banqueting halls a fixed base is provided), then the matter is greatly simplified. In the absence of her, before you make arches of balls, you will have to buy a frame - in the garden stores there is a wide range of these designs, of all sizes and different outlines. It is inexpensive, made of thick wire, so transportation to the place of work will not be. If the legs seem shaky to you or they are not intended for installation, but for digging, the design can be screwed to the nearest post.

The drawing is prepared in advance (if you intend to use balls of different colors). Elements are inflated and reeled in the right order to the frame. In the case of a stationary base, it does not matter what you will inflate: it is sturdy and will hold the pattern, even if the balls are filled with air. The main thing is not to allow passes, so that the frame is not visible anywhere.

Aerial arch

A more complicated technique, how to make an arc of balls with your own hands, involves the use of a very thin rope and helium. It is better not to use a scaffold, unless you are firmly sure of its strength. Measures the required length of the twine, taking into account the segments, with which the arch will be fixed in the bases. One end immediately becomes attached to the base by several nodes, so that the rope does not exactly separate and flew away with the balls. Elements are alternately puffed with helium and fixed at the end of the rope, which is not tied yet (of course, it is necessary to retreat from the edge to the distance necessary for the subsequent fastening). Balls are wound either with tape or with wire, which florists use, and both are not stretched. Just in case, it is better to wind several layers. As the new balls are attached, the rope will rise, so that the balls will not cling to anything that is on the ground or floor.

Rope, before you make arches of balls, you need to wrap it with corrugated paper or thin ribbons: because helium is used, and individual elements are not pulled closely to the base, the properly twine will not spoil the entire appearance.

When all the balls are fixed, the loose end is firmly attached to the second base. If there is a desire, both bases can be masked with flowers or other design elements.

Multi-color construction

Another option, how to make arches from balls on an easy basis, suggests using balls of two colors. Some inflate with helium and pull the structure up, others - with ordinary air, balancing the first and giving the opportunity to make the arch more dense.

We draw your attention to the fact that "rope" versions are used mainly in the room. On the street, they too will hesitate under the gusts of the wind.

What you need to know

The first time collecting an arch from balls, you need to take into account a number of points.

  1. All elements of the same color should be of equal size. To keep it, a measuring hole is cut in the cardboard. It will be more convenient to use the template if you put a box on it.
  2. Using helium, remember that it will be hours after 10 to deflate the inflated ball, so you need to prepare the elements immediately before assembling the structure.
  3. By using balls of different shades, you must plan their pattern in advance. The most successful and easy to perform are bands and spirals.
