Hotel beach

The main advantage of Dreams Beach (Tunis, Sousse) - 1 line. Not every hotel can boast of such a location. From the hotel building to the sea - 200 meters. For those tourists who appreciate beach holidays, there is no better place to be found. The hotel has its own beach, equipped with sun beds with mattresses and umbrellas, for which you need to pay, but their cost is low. On the coast there is a bar with drinks, where you can refresh yourself during the day.

A bit about the resort ...

As we already mentioned, the Dreams Beach Hotel (Tunisia) is located between Sousse and Port El Kantaoui. Tourists always have a choice, where to go for a walk. The center of Sousse can be reached in ten minutes by shuttle bus. The fare is one dinar (this is approximately 30 rubles). It is also quickly accessible to Port El Kantaoui.

Sousse is the most popular youth resort in Tunisia. He will be interested to see the supporters of entertainment and hangouts. The city is filled with discotheques, thalassotherapy centers, restaurants and cafes. There is a whole port of pleasure yachts and ships.

The town is divided into three parts: historical with medieval medina, central (residential areas) and tourist (on its territory are built numerous hotels). Ten kilometers from Sousse is a suburb, which is also a resort area - Port El Kantaoui.

In Sousse itself is not very clean sea, but a lot of entertainment. Hotels with good beaches are located closer to Port El Kantu. In the same area, Hotel Dreams Beach 3 * is also built. Here you can see a lot of modern complexes from expensive to the cheapest, but none of them is located as close to the sea as "Dreams Beach".

In Sousse, tourists can shop and buy all sorts of souvenirs for their relatives. To the services of tourists is a large four-storey supermarket called Soula Center, which is located near the medina. A lot of original things can also be bought in the market in the old district. Not to mention that every hotel has its own small shops.

Sights attractions

Sousse is full of interesting places, which will be interesting to see curious tourists. The central historical landmark of the city is the medina, surrounded by a beautifully preserved fortress wall. In its territory are old towers, mosques, catacombs with graves of the early Christianity and the market. The medieval fortress of Ribat is the most visited local landmark. Well preserved part of it - 35-meter tower Nador. Fortress Ribat was once built as a defensive structure to withstand sea raids. The soldiers who served here, in their free time from war, prayed, studied Islam and preached it among the representatives of the local population.

Near the fortress there is the Great Mosque with the towers-minarets. Throughout history, it has been rebuilt many times, although it does not externally stand out.

To know the life and lifestyle of Tunisian families, it is worth to visit Dar Esid (house-museum). This is an ordinary traditional house of Tunisians, built in 928. It is probably the most interesting sight of the city. In this building once lived a very noble family, and now the descendants have organized a museum in the house to familiarize guests with the life of the indigenous population. The whole room is literally soaked with the spirit of antiquity and luxury, ancient paintings, utensils, ornaments, furniture and even a marriage contract with their wives of the owner of the house are stored here (the document is more than 700 years old).

In Sousse you can see the ancient reservoir of Sofra. It is a large tank (the length of the tank is 30 meters), which goes deep into the ground, it is not easy to find. It is still not known who built such an amazing structure: either the Romans, or the Arabs. But for certain it is known that the tank supplied water to the whole city. Externally, the structure does not represent any interest, but the history of origin is worthy of attention.

But the Sausa catacombs are always aroused by tourists. They were found in 1885 and represent ancient Christian burials (II-IV century). The length of the catacombs is several kilometers, they originate in the center of the city and go beyond it. To visit only a small part of them is open, because the remaining parts are not safe.

Every year thousands of tourists are attracted by the amphitheater. The construction of the Roman Empire is included in the UNESCO list. The theater is often compared with the Colosseum in Rome. The amphitheater consists of three floors, but it is assumed that there were once four. Next to the construction works the Archaeological Museum, which houses a collection of Roman mosaics.

Dreams Beach 3 * (Tunis, Sousse): reviews

Speaking about the hotel, it is worth paying attention to the reviews of tourists who have rested in it recently, to form a more real impression. The three-star complex belongs to the category of establishments of economy class, and therefore it is not necessary to impose exaggerated demands on it initially. In Sousse many hotels have been built, among which there are fashionable five-star complexes and quite cheap hotels. In principle, all resorts and hotels in Tunisia are inexpensive, for which they are appreciated by tourists. Therefore, lovers of marine recreation, not having time to visit such a wonderful country, it is worth thinking about that there are wonderful options for an inexpensive vacation in a country like Tunis (Sousse). Dreams Beach is the one that can offer a budget vacation on the coast. Its wonderful location is, perhaps, the main advantage of the complex. It is unlikely that you can find a hotel nearby, which would be located near the water.

According to the guests, the hotel is not very new, but kept in good condition and clean. The hall, reception and public areas are decorated simply and concisely. There are no striking interiors, as in other complexes of this level.

The hotel rooms are quite spacious, designed in oriental style, with simple but good functional furniture. There is a wardrobe, bedside tables, a bed and a balcony. It is better to take an apartment with a sea view. Tourists are advised to pay extra for similar amenities, otherwise the desired number can not be obtained. The apartments facing the street are noisier, so they are not so interesting. The ability to watch beautiful sea scenes from the windows in the morning is a pledge of excellent mood for the whole day.

The hotel is cleaned daily, the maids do their job well. Each number is issued six towels, which also change every day. Holidaymakers celebrate the worn appearance of bed linen and towels, which have long been replaced by new ones. Not all rooms have refrigerators and safes, they can be rented at the reception desk for a fee. Of detergents, only a piece of soap is dispensed, there are no gels or shampoos.

Food Reviews

With regard to nutrition, the feedback on it is contradictory, as it often happens. Some of the guests note the meager choice of food, especially for breakfast. Others in general are satisfied, given the three-star level of the hotel. But the dinner, according to tourists, quite tasty. Every evening new dishes appeared on the tables: salads, soups, several types of side dishes (pasta, french fries, rice), beef, lamb, chicken. Sometimes the chef spoils guests with lasagna, meatballs, meat casseroles, an omelette with kidneys, vegetable casseroles, sheep's ribs. Breakfasts, as a rule, consist of salads, fresh and delicious baguettes, fried and fresh vegetables, sausage, fig jam, butter, yoghurt.

As desserts, the restaurant serves cream and chocolate puddings, cakes with grapes and peaches. In the morning, drinks are served, but for dinner they need to be paid separately. As a rule, tourists take sweets in the room and there they already drink coffee or tea with them.

In the restaurant to arrive better on time, otherwise later the choice of dishes becomes more meager, eating at the buffet is not always replenished.

Near the hotel there is an excellent supermarket, where you can buy all the necessary products, if you do not plan to eat at the hotel. The choice of food in it is quite decent. Tunisia sells fine local wine. According to tourists, it is tasty and quality to buy it, just take a trip to Port El-County. Alcoholic beverages in Tunisia are not sold in every store.

Near the hotel there are many cafes and restaurants, where you can also eat. Local dishes and seafood are prepared here. Prices in such institutions, according to tourists, are quite acceptable. What kind of food to choose, it's up to you.

Hotel beach

The hotel is on the beach, which is impossible not to appreciate. You can walk to the beach in one minute. It is equipped with sun beds, umbrellas, for which you have to pay. On the shore there is a bar, where there are always refreshments.

The hotel's beach is sandy with a small comfortable sunset into the water. For children, this is an incredibly comfortable bottom. Tourists who like to swim can simply walk to the depths. In the mornings the sea is very clean and transparent, but after dinner there is a wave. Sometimes, algae come up to the shore, they are periodically cleaned by hotel employees. In Tunisia around a lot of debris, but the beach of the hotel is always clean, it is cleaned daily.

Overall impression of the hotel ...

The hotel has a wonderful friendly staff, which can also be considered worthy of this establishment. Workers of the complex are fluent in Russian, so there is simply no problem explaining to the reception. The settlement is quick, if there are cleaned-in rooms, you will be given keys without any problems long before 2 pm.

As for apartments with a sea view, then you need to pay extra for them, not agreeing to the reception. And the amount of money can be different, apparently, it all depends on who has managed to bargain.

In the hotel at the reception you can exchange money. But not far from the hotel there is a branch of the bank, in which the exchange rate is much more profitable. Tourists should remember that during the celebration of Ramadan you can stay without money, if you do not previously exchange the amount you need. At this time, neither the exchangers, nor many institutions are working. Therefore, such details should be thought out in advance.

The hotel has two swimming pools, one of which is for children and the other for adults. However, our tourists do not like to use them, because such a beautiful sea is just a few steps away. But foreign tourists often prefer to rest just around the pools. The hotel rests a lot of Europeans (Germans, French) retirement age. Fans of outdoor activities can book excursions in the hall of the complex, and it is more profitable to do it with their tourist operator. Near the hotel, there are no alternative places to order trips, so hotel guides are the only available option.

Vacationers are advised to visit all Sights attractions on their own, and then go overnight to the Sahara. This amazing trip will not leave anyone indifferent. It should be done to meet the dawn in the desert. In the vicinity of the resort there are many interesting places worthy of tourists' attention.

Instead of an afterword

Dreams Beach, reviewed in the article - this is a good option for a budget holiday on the coast of Tunisia. The hotel will appeal to those guests who are not too demanding of small things. If you do not pay attention to minor shortcomings and adequately understand that the hotel has a three-star status, and therefore do not expect from it the attributes of five stars, then you can perfectly relax.
