Grapes in the suburbs. Cultivation

The oldest and most famous culture, which began its distribution from Asia Minor, Caucasus and Greece, is the vine. At the same time, two varieties are grown in Russia: the East and the Europe-Asia.

Grapes are an undemanding plant, and not so important is the soil on which to grow it, but it does not like frequent transplants. All this is because the seedling has very long roots, which can reach from 2 to 5 meters. They go deep into the soil and damage their system quite simply. Also note that the soil with a high content of salts and wetlands are not suitable for growing grapes.

Climatic conditions and illumination also affect the growth of the vine. Planting the plant on the south-western, southern and south-eastern slopes is the best option, but it is necessary to hide it from the raw northern and cold eastern winds. For better growth of grapes, use places near buildings, where there is better illumination, on the leeward side. Accordingly, after planting the plant, it can be in one place for 30-50 years.

If you decide to plant this berry, then first it must be purchased. Grapes in the suburbs to buy quite simply. Saplings should be purchased in advance and preferably several varieties. Thus, the necessary conditions will be created for the successful growth and development of this plant.

Grapes in the suburbs can be planted in spring or early autumn. Before this, a pit with a width of 60 to 100 cm is made, and it is best to excavate a trench, the length of which will depend on the number of seedlings. Then each shank of the vine is placed in the hole. It has a depth of about 60 cm on average. When planting, it is necessary to shorten the lower part of the plant by about 10 cm, and remove the upper part at all. The main roots for a better growth should be treated with a solution of honey, heteroauxin or mallet. After all the correct procedures for planting grapes in the suburbs will grow as successfully as in other, more southern regions.

We must not forget that the bottom of the hole must be laid with earth from the fertile top layer, which is mixed with compost and a mound is formed. When planting the cuttings, make sure that the upper eye is 4 cm above the soil. Roots need to be straightened, the hole itself is covered with earth, and then watered. The water is absorbed, and the ground is slightly trampled by feet, and then the fertile soil is sprinkled for another 3-4 cm. Such a procedure is necessary to deceive frosts in winter or drought in summer.

After a year has passed since the planting, the grapes in the dacha must be unearthed in order to remove the weeds. The age of the vine is determined only from the second year of the seedling.

Grapes in the suburbs are growing on trellis. Particular attention during its cultivation should be turned to the autumn season, when it is necessary to prepare shrubs for colds. For this purpose, many frost-resistant varieties have been invented, and it is best to approach this issue practically and provide the plant with protection against frost.

In the spring, after melting snow, the young seedling's whip will lie on the ground. In this case, the support for the grapes will be the best assistant.
