Espa Lipon: the newest hepatoprotector

"Espa lipon" is a hepatoprotector intended for the regulation of lipid and carbon metabolism. The drug has a good antioxidant, anti-toxic, glycemic effect.

"Espa lipo", the instruction to the preparation gives detailed explanations, is issued in the form of tablets, solution for injections. The active substance of both forms is thioctic acid (α-lipoic acid).

"Espa Lipon 100" is a round tablet in a yellow shell, and if you see oblong tablets, then this is Espa Lipon 600. The instruction indicates that, in addition to the active thiotic acid, the composition of the preparation includes auxiliary silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, lactose , Cellulose and some other components.

With diabetic polyneuropathy, take once a day 600 mg of the drug or break the reception into 2-3 parts. In severe cases, the dosage can be raised to 1200 mg.

If injections are required, they usually start with an infusion of 600 mg once a day, and then switch to tablets. Such treatment can last up to 20 days.

For the prevention of diseases or in cases of liver dysfunction, the dosage ranges from 200 to 60 mg.

"Espa lipon", in other words, like most drugs, can cause unwanted reactions. These include difficulty breathing, dyspeptic disorders, nausea, headache. Sometimes there may be hives or other allergic reactions. They pass almost immediately after the withdrawal of tablets or dosage adjustment.

Who is contraindicated with this medicine? A group of such patients is quite extensive,

• Chronic drinking or alcoholism

• Disadvantage of lactase

• Diabetes mellitus

• Galactosemia
