What is it and what is it for?

It is obligatory that the cleaning structure and the coarse filter are present in order to avoid large debris elements entering the pipeline.

When choosing a skimmer, it is worthwhile to focus on the material of the treatment plant. It can be plastic, stainless steel or bronze. In addition, the criterion of choice can serve as material for the execution of the pool bowl: concrete or film. The number of devices will depend on the volume and size of the bowl. On average, one skimmer can handle up to 25 square meters of pool area.

The principle of operation of this device is such that by means of a pump the upper contaminated layer of water is sucked in, filtered and returned to the reservoir. To optimize the operation, the frequency of application of the skimmer depends on the degree of contamination of the reservoir. It should be noted that its use in the complete set with the pump allows you to filter the upper layers of water, the temperature of which is much higher than in the deep ones. The temperature at the depth remains unchanged, it helps to prevent the growth of algae.
