"Destroyers of Legends" close - why? The first and final seasons, leading

One of the best programs for the development of erudition. One of those programs on which many of us have grown up. "Destroyers of Legends" many people instilled a love for exact sciences: from mathematics to physics. For many years in the project that just did not appear, which only did not suit the two crazy leading, if only to achieve results. But, as you know, everything comes to an end.

The idea of the show

Initially, this transfer was offered to one of the little-known channels by producer Peter Rees. His idea was simple: all known statements, stories, rumors, gossip and myths, walking among people and on the Internet, are tested by specialists with the help of scientific experiments. First, they explain the mechanism of the action of a phenomenon, and then create the conditions in which to actually test this or that thing. In order to interest the viewer, Peter Rees had only 3 pilot issues, after which the "Destroyers of Legends" program was successfully launched. Discovery channel gave the opportunity to exist this magnificent show.

Leading programs

Peter Rice was delighted in his time by Jamie Heinemann, who had an interview earlier. The work of this man consisted in inventing special effects, and in this area he had worked for quite a long time, he had enough knowledge and experience to conduct various tests. But, as you know, one head is good, and two is better: Jamie felt that he was not charismatic enough and cheerful to run this program alone, so he invited his friend, Adam Seyvij, there. During 14 years of broadcasting, the hosts did not change, and it seemed that the question of when the show would end, should not be at all, because this program is one of the longest-running television in history. Now everyone is puzzled over why the program "Destroyers of Legends" was closed.

The concept of the program

Of course, two people can not cope with a large amount of work, in addition the show is trying to make it as spectacular as possible during all releases, so there is a whole team of assistants and co-leaders who are working on their project in parallel with the leading ones. A team of three people over several seasons took on tasks easier, coping with easier technical tasks.

In 2016, it was announced that the "Destroyers of Legends" was being closed. Why this happened - for the most part you need to be interested in representatives of the channel Discovery. And while Jamie sadly recalls his participation in the project and the life that was before him. He developed robots for "Star Wars", participated in the creation of the program "Battle of Robots", did special effects for the "Matrix", but with the advent of "Destroyers" he devoted all his time to them.

During the existence of the transfer in total was:

The concept of transfer is quite simple: after meeting the hour of time, you need to experiment or disprove this or that myth. Often, by testing various rumors, Adam and Jamie invited a specialist from the relevant field.

All the releases of the show are spectacular and interesting thanks to the love of explosions, weapons, risk. Often, participants received minor injuries. But the entertainment program policy is such that experiments are not conducted if there is a risk of threat to the life of animals and people.

From the first to the last issue

For 14 seasons leading and creators have many memories of the program. And they themselves became known to the whole world - mustachioed scientists are recognized by every person who has ever watched Discovery. If in the first issues Adam and Jamie mostly worked independently, often acting as experimental subjects, then in due course they were joined by an experienced team of people, which allowed to significantly increase the scale of the show.

In the pilot release of the program, Jamie and Adam first took on the most common myth about the use of "Cola-Cola" in combination with other products, trying to blow up their stomachs from the inside. When the program went on the air, the experiments became much more serious. They blew up the toilets, fired from submachine guns, tried to make a big explosion, and all this - "Destroyers of Legends." 1 season 1 series was the beginning of a new, exciting life for these people.

The ability to make fun of each other made this scientific program more interesting and entertaining, and over time three co-hosts appeared: Grant Imahara - specialist in the field of robotics, Tori Bellechi - designer of models for cinema and Cary Byron - artist. They also took the liberty of helping two curious scientists.

In the final episodes, Adam and Jamie once again remained alone, but the project did not become worse: they just as qualitatively continued to refute or confirm the myths. They invented more and more sophisticated ways to blow up something in the program "Destroyers of Legends." The final season was presented to viewers on January 9, 2016. In his tweet, Adam mentioned that they intend to destroy 13 myths from various categories, and promised the audience a really "explosive" farewell. He also mentioned that he was very sorry to say goodbye to the series and remembers with warmth how they shot "Destroyers of Legends". 1 season 1 series - has become a grand and successful beginning.

Why the program is closed

In 2016, Discovery Channel announced that the next season will be the last for the "Destroyers of Legends". Of course, the fans (and their program during the broadcast was a lot) rebelled, and immediately appeared a lot of questions: "Destroyers of the Legends" close - why? How? For what? And what are the reasons? Naturally, the Discovery channel is not going to give a clear answer to this question, but it can be safely assumed that the show has already outlived itself and for new myths there are simply no ideas. In the end, sooner or later everything ends. Many generations have grown up on this popular science program, discovering the world anew. The only desire of the leading shows was to finish the season with dignity, releasing their best works on the air under the proud title "Destroyers of Legends" (the final season), with which they successfully coped.

What's next?

Discovery channel completely refused to release the program, but this does not mean that she died at all. Another organization called Science wants to continue to shoot episodes of Mythbusters, but changing the lead and slightly changing the concept of the show. After all for many it is very unpleasant to hear the news: "Destroyers of legends" close. Why? It's pointless to ask, but instead it's better to continue it.

Adam and Jamie, having finished this show, were transferred to another project and are now working on a series about the scientist. Probably, the spectators expect a lot of spectacular scenes and loved ones leading explosions.

As for Tori, Carey and Grant, they are working on the development of a new program on another channel, and soon another scientific program will be released on their behalf, which, however, does not have any relation to myths.
