Celebrate Grandmother's Day!

There are many different holidays: national and international, serious and playful, secular and religious. We all like to celebrate and relax, taking expensive guests at home, or meeting at social events with different people. One of the pleasant holidays is Grandmother's Day.

This holiday has appeared in Russia not so long ago, in 2009, but every year it is gaining popularity. Grandmother's day is celebrated in more than 30 countries, but there is no single official date, they celebrate it at different times of the year. In Russia, the holiday falls on October 28. This day was not chosen by chance. At the end of October (according to the Slavic tradition), various rituals of veneration of ancestors and family foundations were held.

The Grandmother's Day was born thanks to the initiative of the Flower Bureau of Holland, which offered to congratulate grandparents on this day, to please them and give bouquets of flowers or beautiful houseplants. Any grandmother will be very pleased to see her grandchildren with flowers. This holiday helps different generations to treat each other with warmth and understanding, to realize that they are loved and needed by their loved ones. It's good that they came up with such an excuse to tell Grandma beautiful words, appreciating her tender, caring hands and kind heart.

Who bakes the most delicious pancakes and pies? Who before a dream sings mental lullabies and tells interesting stories? Of course, they are our dear grandmothers. In our country, the situation is still very common, when all the worries about the child are taken by grandparents, giving parents the opportunity to work peacefully.

Grandmothers are different. There are grandmothers who live in the villages, waiting for their children and grandchildren, dreaming to give them milk with fresh milk, to buy fresh strawberries or bulk apples from the garden. Someone has a grandmother - an artisan-needlewoman: so that the legs of your beloved grandchildren were warm enough for the handles not to freeze, she would bind her socks and mittens with love. There are very different grandmothers, "advanced", many traveling and engaged in sports, and do not forget about personal life. But, no matter what the grandmothers were, they still remain our most beloved and dearest.

Grandparents adorn our childhood with warmth and comfort, give good advice based on their own experience, tenderness and care envelop us. How can we repay them? Let us, at least on this family holiday, postpone our numerous affairs, devote our time and attention to our dear grannies, congratulate them from the bottom of our hearts, find the warmest words for them. A magnificent gift will be a memorial evening for a cup of tea or for your grandmother's favorite pastime. And do not forget that every family has its own Grandmother's Day - her birthday. If the granddaughter comes and tells her grandmother for the birthday, grandma, probably, will shed tears of emotion, and she will be happy. She does not need expensive gifts, she has long understood the true value of things - nothing is more expensive than attention and love of loved ones. Therefore, congratulations on the birthday grandmother can be anything, most importantly, that it was from the heart.
