Cameroon defender Benoit Angbwa

Benoit Angbwa is a former Cameroonian football player who completed his career in 2014. He acted as a right-back. Most of all, Benoit Angbwah remembered that he had practically spent his entire career in Russia.

Carier start

Benua Angbwa was born on January 1, 1982 in Cameroon, where he began his career, enrolling in the Academy at the local club "Fauv Baham". By the standards of this team, he was a great talent, so he began to get playing practice at the age of 16. In 2001, a 19-year-old guy was spotted by scouts from France who brought him to Montpellier. Thus began the European adventure of the Cameroonian football player. Benoit Angbwa has not spent his entire career in Europe, playing even for the South American club, and Russia has become his home for many years.

France - Uruguay

However, Angbava could not get accustomed to "Onpelia". He spent there a whole year, never appearing on the field. Therefore, in the winter of 2002, he went to the Uruguayan National for which he played for three years. There, the athlete played 38 games, scoring four goals, but in January 2005 he was rents back to France, this time to Lille. In the French club Cameroon spent 21 matches, scoring one goal. After that, for another half a year Angbava played in "Nacional", which, apparently, was not interested in the services of the player. Therefore, in January 2006, the athlete was sold to the Russian club "Wings of the Soviets" for five hundred thousand euros.

Playing in Russia

In "Wings of the Soviets" Angbava immediately began to receive a game practice. In the two years he spent there, he played in fifty matches. When his contract expired, the Cameroonian moved to Saturn, where he spent three whole years. Footballer went to the field 73 times, scored three goals and went to the promotion in Makhachkala "Anji", which in those days collected various African players in his composition.

But in "Anji" Benoit did not get accustomed. He spent thirty matches, scored four goals and in the summer of 2013 moved to FC Rostov, for which he played only 16 matches. Six months later, the football player was sold for one million euros back to the "Wings of the Soviets" - to the club from which he began conquering Russia. There Angbwa played 19 more matches for one year, and then for one and a half million euros he made another comeback - this time in "Anji", where he went on the field 17 more times. In the summer of 2014, Benoit Angbwa retired at the age of 32.

National team appearances

In the Cameroon national team, Angbwa was not a star. He played only 19 matches, scoring one goal. As for the big tournaments, Benoit went on the field once in the 2006 African Cup. Then he spent 90 minutes on the field in a duel against the team "Congo". The athlete also went to the Africa Cup in 2008, but there he sat on the bench for all matches. Then he had a great chance to get the trophy without playing a single minute, but Cameroon's national team lost to the Egyptian team in the final.

As a result, one of the trophies, which Angbava won in his career, became the champion title in the championship of Uruguay in 2002th. Two years earlier, the footballer also won the Cameroon Championship with "Fau Bach", and in 2005 he became the owner of the Intertoto Cup together with the French "Lille", for which he acted on loan.
