The twentieth century gave the world many writers whose works became famous and won the love of millions of people. And one of such talents was Alexander Tvardovsky. A brief biography of him, however, like its full form, is studied in the school curriculum. And no wonder, because the life of this Soviet writer and poet was full of interesting and simultaneously tragic events. So, the future poet and writer was born in 1910. This significant event occurred in Smolensk province in the family of a blacksmith, whose name was Trifon. Mother of Alexander - Maria Mitrofanovna. The father of the future writer was a very well-read person, so in the house one could often hear the reading aloud Lermontov, Pushkin, Nikitin, Gogol, Ershov and so on. It is not surprising that little Sasha early started composing poetry. And at that time he could not read them or write them down, since he was illiterate. The poet's military path begins in 1939. He actively participates in campaigns as a military commissar. And the works created exactly in the war years, bring Tvardovsky large-scale fame. What is only the poem "Vasily Terkin". Every educated person at least once in his life, but read it. The poem "House by the Road", describing the horrors and hopelessness of the war, is also not unknown. This is not all the works that glorified the poet and which T. Twardovsky was proud of.

A brief biography of him reports that in the postwar years he was a deputy in one of the districts of the Vladimir region, then Voronezh. And in 1950, the writer was appointed to the post of editor of the magazine under the title "New World". In the next decade Tvardovsky continues to create. And the magazine acquires a new orientation with the permission of Khrushchev. "Neo-Stalinists" did not appreciate such changes, so after the withdrawal of Nikita Sergeevich against the "New World" a campaign was conducted. Glavlit did not allow important materials for the press, but no one could formally sack Alexander Tvardovsky. As an alternative, his deputies were dismissed from office, and hostile people came to their seats. At the end of 1971, on December 18, Alexander Tvardovsky fell ill and soon died. A well-known writer, a respected and simply talented person at the Novodevichy Cemetery, was buried.
