The name of Leonid Arnoldovich Fedun has long been associated with FC Spartak. For more than 13 years, this man is the owner of the club. He did a lot for the development of "Spartacus", which is what made him particularly famous. However, in addition to football activities, he has been the vice-president of the oil company Lukoil for more than 20 years.

About the military career

Leonid Arnoldovich Fedun was born on April 5, 1956 in Kiev. His childhood was spent in Kazakhstan, where his father, a military surgeon and an officer were sent to travel. The boy was inspired by the atmosphere of Baikonur and, as is easy to guess, decided to start a military career.

Training

From 1972 to 1977, Fedun studied at the military-political faculty of the Rostov Higher Military Command School of Strategic Missile Forces. Then he entered the adjuncture of the Military Academy named after FE Dzerzhinsky, after which he defended the work on the theme "Public opinion of soldiers as a factor in strengthening the morale of the army of the state of the people", becoming a candidate of philosophical sciences. Defending the candidate, he taught political science for 8 years. During this time, Leonid Arnoldovich received the rank of colonel.

Acquaintance with the oil company

In addition to teaching at the Institute, Leonid Arnoldovich lectured in the all-Union society "Knowledge". In 1987, he was sent on a business trip to the oil village of Kogalym. At one of the lectures, the intellect and the train of thought of the young teacher were interested in the representatives of the oil company Kogalymneftegaz. Leonid Fedun was invited to the meeting after the lecture, and during the subsequent conversation his enthusiasm for the oil industry was revealed, in which he was perfectly oriented. Some time after the conversation, Leonid Arnoldovich received a proposal for work from the company's CEO. Over it, Fedun did not think for a long time and, of course, agreed.

About oil

In the oil company, Leonid Arnoldovich quickly joined the work and a new team. Thanks to his intelligence and analytical abilities, he was noted by management, and when in 1990 the general director of Kogalymneftegaz was appointed deputy minister of the oil and gas industry of the USSR and moved business to Moscow, Leonid Arnoldovich went with him.

Lukoil

A year later in Moscow, in 1991, the start of the Lukoil concern was laid. Leonid Fedun took an active part in this and achieved success. On March 13, 1994, he was offered to take the post of vice-president of PJSC "LUKOIL".

In a new capacity, he focused on the direction of the company's strategic development. Many of L.Fedun's initiatives were introduced in the practice of Russian business for the first time.

About FC "Spartak"
