Benefits of donors in the Russian Federation

Some blood diseases, cancer can not be cured without a blood transfusion. It needs victims of accidents, surgical patients, who suffered from terrorist acts. Donation is supported by citizens and is encouraged by law. It is necessary to know what benefits are provided to donors.

Every capable and healthy citizen of the Russian Federation at the age of 18 to 60 years old can become a donor (provided by the law of 9.06.1993). This category of people are given benefits. The donors receive comprehensive support. Heads of organizations and enterprises should release a person who is a donor to health points for examination or blood donation. These days the donor should be released from work. On the days of blood donation, the average wage level will be maintained, and it does not matter whether this day was a working day or a non-working day.

If the blood donation takes place during the holidays, on holidays or weekends, the donor can take another day for rest. For any day during which blood donation takes place, an additional day of rest is provided (salary is preserved, it is possible to attach to annual leave or use at any convenient time throughout the year). For donors, a special budget is allocated, which pays for their free meals on the days of blood donation.

The state has defined not only benefits to donors, but also rates of delivery of blood and its components that will not harm a person. Only an acceptable dose of blood (or its components) can be taken from everyone. This amount is determined by the doctor, who performs a donor examination before each blood donation. The taken volume can make 350-450 ml. With each surrender, an acceptable norm is determined.

Benefits of the donor are provided with gratuitous donation of blood for one year, if the total amount of the product will be equal to two allowable doses. In this case, a 25% extra charge is paid to the scholarship to students, payments are made at the expense of a special budget, for a period of up to 6 months from the date of the surrender. Extra -ordinary vouchers for recovery are provided.

Citizens who have the "Honorary Donor" badge receive special benefits. Such people have the right to receive free emergency treatment in municipal and state medical institutions. Benefits of honorary donors allow free treatment and dental prosthetics (except for the use of precious metals). A preferential purchase of medicines is envisaged (reduction of the price to 50% of their cost), a 50% discount on utility bills, preferential loans for individual construction are paid.

The blood service obligatory insures against infection when fulfilling donor obligations. The legislation of the Russian Federation provides for the payment of damages for the harm caused to health (costs include medical treatment, medical examination, rehabilitation). The above benefits to donors are provided upon presentation of certificates in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation.
