Beautiful bolero (hook): diagram and description

Bolero is a short openwork blouse that protects from the hot sun or decorates an evening outfit. There are several ways of making them using a hook.

The value of the choice of yarn

Correctly selected materials and tools greatly influence the quality and appearance of the finished product. Bolero, crocheted (schemes can be tight or openwork), it is warm and decorative.

Depending on the purpose of the product, a model and yarn are selected. For knitting warm products, both solid and openwork patterns are suitable. If you choose the latter, you can use a mohair, wool or angor thread with a thickness of 400 m / 100 grams. The created ornament will be both functional and beautiful.

Of course, the thickest canvas for bolero will be the warmest. Hook, circuit and description are selected individually for each product. It is not recommended to use too thick yarn (less than 200 m / 100 grams), as the resulting bolero will look too massive. Light summer products are traditionally knit from cotton, linen or silk threads. Yarn with the content of these natural fibers (not less than 50%) and polyamide, acrylic or microfiber will also be appropriate.

The simplest bolero model (hook). Scheme and description

There is nothing easier, than to crochet an equal strip and, sewing it in a certain way, to receive bolero. Thus, the product is made in the following photo.

The process of manufacturing this model consists of a simple sequence of actions:

  • Link a control sample to determine the density of knitting.
  • In accordance with the calculation, start knitting the canvas, the width of which is equal to the width of the sleeve.
  • Knit to a height that is equal to the length of the sleeve (along with the pellet) x 2 + width of the back.
  • Mark two points with a colored thread or knitting pins, the position of which corresponds to the distance from the lower edge of the sleeve to the beginning of the pellet. The remaining distance will be equal to: the length of the pellet sleeve x 2 + the width of the back.
  • Sew the stretchy fabric from the beginning of knitting to the first mark and from the second mark to the end of the fabric.
  • Tie the edges of the sleeves and the open edge of the bolero.

Separate aspects of the process

The described algorithm is perfect for beginners. To simplify the process and quickly link the bolero with a crochet (you can choose the simplest ones for beginners), several graphic instructions are offered below.

The disadvantage of knitting a simple model by the described method is the insignificant asymmetry of the sleeves. On one of them, the pattern goes up, on the other - down.

This problem can be solved if you connect two identical parts and sew them in the middle of the back. When making a seam, it is worth trying on the product several times, so as not to get too tight aperture. It is very inconvenient to wear a bolero, which presses under your hands.

The classical bolero model

The most popular was the classic bolero (hook). A diagram and a description of one of these products are offered in this article. The classic model looks like a short-fitting fitting blouse without a buckle. Sometimes it is still present, but not for the entire length of the front shelf. It can be one button or string.

To knit bolero crochet (the scheme can be used at your discretion), you must first remove the measurements, make calculations and build a pattern. Craftsmen, confident in their abilities, can do without the last point. But such negligence can lead to a significant deviation from the planned size and the need for bandaging.

As for the knitting of a regular blouse, two parts of the gear, the backrest and the two sleeves should be connected. Mandatory for any bolero is a beautiful tying. It can be narrow (literally in several rows) or wide - up to ten centimeters. In some models, the lace trimming plays the role of the main decorative element.

Bolero of fragments

Very beautiful look short bolero, made in the technique of Irish or other type-setting lace. The picture below shows bolero from large square fragments.

Such an openwork form of motifs makes it much easier to knit bolero. You can sew it from three rectangles (back, two shelves). Holes in the canvas help him to take shape without compromising the appearance of the product. It should be noted that when using a rigid thread (100% cotton) or a more dense pattern for knitting motifs, it is worth trying to connect the traditional armhole and the sleeve of the sleeve. Otherwise, the formed folds will significantly distort the silhouette.

How to relate part of the motive?

To get a cloth from fragments, the shape of which will correspond to the pattern, you can apply a partial knitting. Unlike square fragments, their halves are not knitted in circular, but in return rows. This technique gives you the opportunity to get a tight-fitting openwork bolero. Hook schemes are easy to master, several suitable square motives are given below.

There are two ways to knit the halves of the motive: the making of a rectangular or triangular element. The first knit is pretty simple. You need to do the work according to the scheme, expanding the canvas in two places and forming two right angles of 90 degrees (a total of 180 degrees).

The triangular element is a little more complicated. Here you need to monitor the correct expansion of the canvas. When knitting, one right angle (90 degrees) is formed, and the loops should be added at the very beginning and end of each row (2 x 45 degrees). In sum, the additions should make up the expansion of the canvas by 180 degrees. Applying the described technique, you can link even a quarter or even the eighth part of the square.

Scissors for bolero

Drawing up the knitting cloth is the most difficult way of making bolero (hook). The scheme and description of such models usually include schemes of individual fragments and ways of their connection. The motives for these kinds of clothes can be completely different. Most often use geometric shapes or floral elements. It is also often used abstract asymmetric fragments. To connect them, you need a pattern. Elements are laid out on it face down and stitch or impose a grid between them. Despite this, the bolero can easily be called a universal garment. It is appropriate for work and rest, so do not put off until tomorrow what can be tied up today!
