Basma for the hair. How to color basma hair

Basma is a natural vegetable dye. Get it from powdered indigo leaves (tropical plant). Basma since ancient times was the favorite of the women of the East, the paint, which they painted and strengthened their hair. They knew in all the little things how to correctly color the hair with a base of hair to get the right shade. It must be said that this is not easy, because the natural color of hair that is obtained when painting only with basma is not even blue (indigo is blue), but green.

Basma for hair when coloring is always combined with henna. Depending on the proportions of basma and henna taken for coloring hair, a fairly wide range of shades can be obtained. The result is also affected by the structure of the hair, their original color, freshness of the product, time of staining, the presence of gray hair and many other factors. Especially rich and winning is a dark gamut of colors: from dark chestnut to almost black with a warm shade of dark chocolate.

How to properly color Basma hair

If the gray is 40-50 or more percent, then the color of the hair should be staged step by step: first they are painted with henna, and then - with basma, so it is much easier to control the receipt of the desired color. The amount of basma and henna needed to obtain the desired shade is determined by taking into account the ratio of these natural dyes, the length and volume of the hair. Powder is poured into porcelain dishes, add a little hot water and mix thoroughly. The resulting gruel is gently, as evenly as possible, applied to the hair.

Henna and basma hair intensively color and skin, so you need to use rubber thin gloves. On the head then put on a plastic cap and wrap with a towel. The intensity of the resulting color directly depends on the time of staining, so you need to be very careful. Basma and henna are washed off with running water, preferably under a large head to completely remove the paint particles.

It is not recommended to paint with basma and henna hair:

• Newly painted with chemical-based paint or primed. Due to the very poor compatibility of plant and chemical dyes, the result will be difficult to predict;

• after a perm. For the same reason, hair can acquire an unpredictable shade - from green to orange;

• by nature very light. Painted hair can get a bright red color.

A couple of tips for fans of chemical wave

Vegetable dyes are very persistent and penetrate deep into the hair. They can not be washed off or removed from the hair in any way, so even after a couple of months the paint stays in them anyway. It only fades, and the curls become less vivid. Therefore, categorically it is not recommended to do a chemical wave in this case . Even the best hairdresser will not take such a risk. It will take quite a long time to use chemical dyes after henna and basmas, to make a fine or perm.

Henna and basma for hair are very effective and positively affect their health and beauty. The substances contained in them nourish the hair follicles, activate growth, help the blood supply to the scalp. Curls become obedient, shiny and smooth after staining. Basma for hair perfectly helps to get rid of dandruff. Another important advantage of basma and henna is that, unlike chemical dyes, they do not affect the structure of the hair when painting.

Unfortunately, in stores, the so-called "colored" henna, whose composition contains synthetic components, is increasingly found. In pursuit of new shades, we should not forget that coloring hair using "colored" henna is far from as safe and useful as natural plant basma and henna.
