Application "Hedgehog" of colored paper: how to do?

If your child loves to cut and glue a panel of cardboard or multi-colored blanks, the appliqué "Hedgehog" from colored paper will surely please him. Suggest to paste cut out on the printed or drawn template parts or perform the elements yourself, for example, in the quilling technique or any other.

Materials and Tools

In order for the child to get a beautiful application "Hedgehog" from colored paper, prepare the following:

  • The basis for the craft, for example, colored cardboard;
  • A template with a hedgehog (natural or cartoonish);
  • Colored paper (usual for children's creativity or corrugated);
  • Scissors (can be with figured blades);
  • glue.

If the work is done by a small child, all elements of the paper must be prepared by the adult. Older children can outline the contour according to the specified stencil and cut the blanks independently. Thus, it is necessary to plan a lesson in accordance with the child's age.

How to make a patchwork hedgehog

The simplest option for children's creativity is gluing on the model. The sequence of joint creativity with the child is this:

  1. Find the right picture on the Internet. It should be simple, but color, better specifically designed to perform such work.
  2. Print the workpiece.
  3. Draw or print a contour image of the pattern on the sheet where you will paste the parts.
  4. Cut out all the required blanks from the first sheet. The same can be done easily from sheets of colored paper if the template did not print.
  5. Glue the elements in series on the substrate. If the images were printed on thin paper, it is better to use a glue stick so that the paper does not get wet and deformed, and the paints do not accidentally spread out.

Application "Hedgehog" from colored paper can be beautifully framed in a frame. If there is no wooden workpiece and glass (this is the best option for a flat panel), use an additional sheet of cardboard or white, brown, or other suitable color of a larger size. Stick the work done on top. If the desired sheet is not, use any of which you can cut the strip. Glue them from the front or back of the sheet.

Application "Hedgehog in the autumn forest"

A very unusual panel is easy to get by creating a three-dimensional or relief effect. There are several variants of manufacturing volumetric details. For example, it is enough to cut several circles of corrugated paper, fold them one on top of another and, gluing in the center and cutting the fringe around the perimeter of all the blanks, glue the base to the right place.

The application "Hedgehog in the autumn forest" will look good with the use of elements of quilling. In this way it is easy to assemble both the surface of the coat of the main character, and make up the environment - trees, leaves, mushrooms. The work is done like this:

  1. Cut the colored (preferably two-sided) paper into strips about 5 mm wide.
  2. Twist the dense pieces from them using a toothpick (or a special tool). Leave the parts tight or slightly unwind. Glue the free end of the strip to the previous layer. Form the desired workpiece configuration.
  3. Do all the details.
  4. Stick them tightly to each other or position them at a distance.

How to make a bulk application

Another way how to make a relief hedgehog, is this:

  1. Cut a rectangle out of colored paper.
  2. Fold the workpiece in the form of an accordion, previously drawing a pencil along the ruler guides the fold lines, located at the same distance;
  3. Cut off the corner of the folded accordion.
  4. Unfold the part. From the side where the corner was cut off, beautiful denticles turned out.
  5. Glue the workpiece on the base in the place where the fur coat of your hedgehog should be.

Corrugated paper application

Another bright autumn applique "Hedgehog" can be made from this material pleasant to the touch and diverse in color. The sequence of work is:

  1. Take a sheet of cardboard, on which you will paste details, and draw on it the contours of the alleged objects (the hedgehog itself and, if necessary, others - mushrooms, trees, etc.).
  2. Make stencils of blanks from paper or paperboard to trace the outlines on the corrugated sheet. This is especially true when working with an organized group.
  3. Cut out the desired blanks on the stencils of corrugated paper of the appropriate colors.
  4. Glue them to the base. In this variant it is better to use a glue-pencil that there were no traces on a paper and that it did not blot.
  5. Cut from a black, gray or brown paper strip with a width of 1 to 2 cm, depending on the size of your hedgehog.
  6. Scissor incisions along one of the long sides of the received ribbon.
  7. Now you can immediately paste the prepared "needles" layers on the hedgehog, where it should be his prickly coat. If the child has enough patience or if adults are ready to help, you need to screw each little "needle" to a toothpick or a piece of wire so that a voluminous twisted piece is formed, like a real needle. So the hedgehog will be more natural and realistic, but it will take more time for such work. This option is more suitable for younger students, who are quite plodding.

Thus, the appliqué "Hedgehog" from colored paper can be made using different blanks and even varieties of material. Choose the option with which it is easiest or most fun to work for your child.
