Biography of Alexander Mitta

The real name of Mitta is Rabinovich. For his creative work, Alexander took a pseudonym, borrowing the name of one of his relatives.

Alexander Mitta is a native Muscovite. He was born in 1933. In 2013, the director celebrated his 80th anniversary.

Mitta did not immediately realize that he was attracted to the world of cinema. He received his higher education at the Civil Engineering Faculty of Kuibyshev University. Then Alexander Naumovich got a job as a cartoonist in several humorous publications.

After Mitta graduated from VGIK (his artistic director was the Soviet film director M. Romm), he co-operated with Alexei Saltykov ("Sibiryachka") and filmed his first film "My Friend, Kolka!" This picture at the London Film Festival won the award, and before Mitta opened the door to the world of great cinema.

Acting

Alexander Mitta did not spend his whole creative life in the director's chair. At the beginning of his career, he received and acting experience in film.

In 1966, the film "The July Rain" was released on the Soviet screens by Marlena Khutsieva. Speech in the picture is about a young woman Elena in the performance of Eugene Uralova, who is trying to build relationships with the promising scientist Vladimir. Passing through a series of some collisions, this pair eventually disintegrates. Alexander Mitte was entrusted in the tape with the role of the boring know-it-all of Vladik.

The film was poorly received by film critics who considered the drama of the "July rain" rather weak, strained and far-fetched.

Subsequently, Mitta appeared several times in the frame, but already in those projects, the shooting of which he was engaged himself. It's about the series "Border: Taiga Novel", "Thank God, you've come!" And the movie "Ember Saturday".

Director's work

The filmography of Alexander Mitta includes 18 works. Of these, only four paintings are very popular.

Kinopovest "Call, open the door" was filmed by the director in 1965. In this film, for the first time on the screen appeared Elena Proklova, who later became a famous actress. The plot of the tape is tied to the bright feeling experienced by schoolgirl Tanya Nechaeva in relation to the pioneer leader. The girl tries to please the subject of her sigh: helps organize the pioneer gathering, is looking for interesting people's speeches. But nothing helps: the young man does not notice Tanya, and on the ice rink she meets him with different girls. In the end, Nechaeva understands that Petya is not the hero of her novel, and is disappointed in the Pioneer leader.

In Venice, the painting "Call, open the door" won the main prize - "St. Mark's Lion".

In 1976, Mitta made a historical film titled "A Tale of how Tsar Peter therap married women." The script of the tape was created based on the work of Alexander Pushkin. Ibrahim Hannibal in the picture was played by the legendary Vladimir Vysotsky. After the filming of this film, Vysotsky and Mitta began a friendship.

Mitta is also the author of the first Soviet film-catastrophe called "Crew". According to the plot, the Soviet passenger plane landed at the airport of the fictional city of oilmen. There was an earthquake, the take-off strip was destroyed. But right now the Tu-154 crew needs to lift the plane into the air at any price, because soon everything should be filled with boiling lava. The film constantly keeps the spectator in suspense, after all it is not known, whether it will be possible for heroes to be rescued?

From the latest film works of the director, the most famous is the series "Border. Taiga Novel ", which tells of the tragic denouement of the love triangle between the nurse Marina, Captain Goloshchekin and Lieutenant Stolbov. The film starred such celebrities as Olga Budina, Marat Basharov, Alexei Guskov, Renata Litvinova and many others.

Alexander Mitta: personal life

Alexander Naumovich, his current wife, Lilia Mayorov, was taken from another man. In 2017 Alexander Mitta and his wife will celebrate a diamond wedding. The couple has only one child - the son of Eugene, who works as an artist.
