Childhood and youth

The future actress was born in 1973, in Seoul. When the girl was ten, she moved with her family to America. She had to get used to the new conditions of life and learn another language, but Kim showed tenacity and diligence. She felt an interest in art and enrolled in a school drama club. After graduating from school, Yunzhin Kim continued her education at the London Academy of Acting and then at the prestigious Boston University. In 2004, the actress returns to America and learns that the creators of the upcoming series about the crashed airplane are interested in her candidacy. Yunjin Kim gladly accepts the invitation to the role. She will have to play Korean woman Song Kwon, experiencing difficulties in her relationship with her husband. This project was the cult series "Lost", which received a whole collection of eminent awards, including "Emmy" and "Golden Globe." Kim herself was nominated for the "Saturn" award as the best second-rate TV actress. Her heroine Song Kwon turned out to be very touching, gentle and able to love truly, wholeheartedly.
