Roman Gromadsky: childhood and youth

The actor was born in St. Petersburg (Leningrad at that time) a year before the Great Patriotic War - December 18, 1940. In difficult times, our hero's family was not able to get out of the blockade city. They survived only because of the help of their father, who fought near Leningrad. Fortunately, he could share his army rations with his close people. But, despite all the efforts, like many children of that time, the little Roman has been suffering from rickets for a long time. In 1962, Roman entered the Institute of Theater in Leningrad, now called SPbGATI (St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater and Art). Thus, the beginning of a long and difficult road was laid.

In 1966, he graduated from the acting institute. At the same time Roman Gromadsky enters the troupe of the Leningrad Theater. The director in this institution at that time was Gennady Oporkov. The wife gave birth to the son of Gromadsky. But her life was tragically cut off - 4 days after the birth of Vera was gone. After such a loss, Roman had no longer a woman, and the son remained the only child.

To date, the actor has two more grandchildren. Also, Roman Borisovich has a dog that he loves very much - Tyapa, a Yorkshire terrier.
