But not every water source can correspond to the needs of a house "armed" with modern household appliances: shower cabins, dishwasher, bathroom, etc. Yes, and on the site you want to have a pool or a swimming pool, a decorative fountain, and in the garden drip irrigation.

Therefore, the most possible solution to problems is the extraction of water by a well. But before the well begins to provide solutions to economic problems, it must not only be drilled, but also equipped.

Regardless of whether it is equipped with a caisson or an adapter, a reliable sealing of the mouth will be required. For this purpose, there is a special device - the well head. It provides a hermetic connection between the casing and pipelines on the surface of the site. In addition, a power cable that feeds the pump motor, a pressure pumping pipe (32 or 40 mm), a dry-running control cable pass through it.

The well head is equipped with a carbine for securing the safety rope, which provides increased reliability of the pump suspension.

Sealing device is installed on the casing with a diameter of 107 to 152 mm, with the presence of a caisson - inside it. Usually the head is made of plastic or cast iron. The former are designed for a workload of up to 200 kg, while cast-iron ones are capable of withstanding a suspended weight of up to half a ton.

The head for the well consists of a flange, a sealing rubber ring and a lid that is tightly fastened to the flange during the assembly process by four bolts with nuts and washers. In the center of the lid there is a collet brass clamp, steel eyebolts and two cable entries. The lower eyebolt serves to secure the cable, and the upper bolts are sealed with a special cap nut.

It is not difficult to fit the header to the borehole - welding is not required, since simple installation is carried out by the usual tightening of four bolts. They reliably compress the entire structure, and the rubber ring provides a tight seal.

Before installing the head, the casing is cut exactly, and strictly perpendicular to the vertical axis, the edges are carefully cleaned and covered with an anti-corrosion compound. With the help of the upper eyebolts, the pump is immersed by any load-lifting device.

The well head protects it well from ground surface water, as well as from accidental objects and clogging. It greatly simplifies the technical maintenance of the entire structure. In addition, the well head reduces the likelihood of equipment theft, provided that special secret bolts are used.
