The drug "Grippol plus" is influenza, inactivated, polymer-subunit, trivalent vaccine. It is used for both subcutaneous and intramuscular administration.

The vaccine "Grippol plus" consists of protective antigens isolated from purified influenza A and B viruses that are grown on chick embryos. Every year, in accordance with the changes in the epidemic situation, changes in the antigenic composition of the vaccine are also carried out.

The drug is a slightly opalescent liquid that is either colorless or has a yellowish tinge. The use of this tool helps to form immunity against influenza. Its action "Grippol plus" begins approximately a week and a half after the introduction into the body, and its effect persists throughout the year. The vaccine is effective for patients of any age. In 75-95% of vaccinated people, protective titers of antibodies are determined for influenza viruses. The drug is intended for specific prevention of influenza for adults of any age and children, starting with three years.

The use of the vaccine "Grippol Plus" is particularly indicated in the following cases:

- if there is a risk of complications with flu. This applies to schoolchildren and preschoolers, as well as people of retirement age. Also to this category are those who often suffer from acute respiratory disease, have respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, metabolic disorders, and allergic reactions to something;

- people who, due to their profession, are most at risk of influenza, and can also infect others. These are categories such as trade workers, health workers, social workers and educational institutions, as well as military and police personnel.

Method of application of the drug "Grippol plus"

Typically, vaccination is carried out in the fall and early winter or before the onset of a massive disease of the population with influenza. The vaccine is injected into the muscles or deep under the skin in an amount of 0.5 ml. Usually, adults are injected into the deltoid muscle, and children are injected into the front of the thigh. Before administration, the ampoule with the vaccine should be heated to room temperature and shaken well. The drug is administered once.

In the presence of immunodeficiency and in the production of immunosuppressive therapy, you can twice inject 0.5 ml of the vaccine at intervals of one month.

On the day when the vaccination is planned, the patient must necessarily examine the doctor and conduct thermometry. If the body temperature is above 37 ° C, vaccination can not be done. Side effects
