Roughing floor: types, features of the device

Laying of the finish coat is always done on the rough floor - even, strong and multilayered base. Otherwise, the durability of any floor covering can be significantly reduced due to its premature failure.

The rough floor is of the following types:

  • "dry";
  • "wet";
  • "Semi-dry";
  • combined.

The features of each of the above technologies will be considered in more detail.

In the first case, the prefabricated floor is most often arranged according to the logs, in the manufacture of which the first grade timber or thick boards were used. This is a classic version of the so-called adjustable floor. It is arranged as follows: laying of logs (runs) is made on the base base with a certain step, depending on the thickness of the boards of overlap. With a board thickness of 4 cm, this distance will be 80 cm. If less than four centimeters - 50 cm, more - 1 m.

During the installation, a gap is left between the wall and the end of the log. Its value is about three centimeters. If the room has a large area, then a double frame system is used. In this case, lags that have a perpendicular direction are ligated with crossbars. The necessary spatial arrangement of the runs is provided by various methods of alignment. Earlier for this purpose plates of various thickness were used, wedges were driven in, quartz sand was poured. Now other, more perfect ways are used. For example, the height of the rough floor can be adjusted with hollow plastic bolt-racks, inside of which there are steel dowels, designed to fix the logs to the base base.

In order to increase the sound insulation, the entire free space between the girders is filled with mineral wool boards, the thickness of which is on the average 10-15 cm. Then high quality veneer sheets are screwed to the lags from above. After all this is done, you can make the finishing coat. It is worth noting that such a rough floor of plywood can be stacked not only in living quarters, but also on balconies. True, in the latter case, you need to take care of sufficient waterproofing.

When using a "dry" floor, special slabs can also be used. Height regulation in this case will be made due to the thickness of the plate to be mounted. However, in this case there will be no heat and sound insulation.

"Wet" rough floor is arranged in bulk. For this purpose, dry concrete mixes are used, including cement, water and sand. This technology can only be used if the air temperature is above + 5 ° C. Laying of the finish coat can be performed no earlier than 1.5-4 weeks after the surface has dried completely.

For a "semi-dry" version, a rigid solution of concrete-cement mixtures is used, in which the minimum possible amount of water has been introduced.

The combined roughing floor consists of a two-layer screed. For the formation of the lower layer a concrete mixture is used, for the upper one - a dry self-leveling mixture and a prefabricated coating.

The rough floor in the wooden house is usually arranged in a dry way, since in this case the cavity formed under the flooring plays the role of natural ventilation, prolonging the service life of the structure. Under it very often have numerous communication systems. Performance of work with the device "dry" floor is much higher than with the device "wet", one, its installation is much more expensive. When performing repair work in the apartment, despite the lower productivity, it is better to give preference to the bulk method.

Whichever method you choose, the main thing is to do everything professionally and apply quality materials.
