Overview of the car "Renault Latitude"

In 2010, as part of the automotive exhibition in the Russian capital, the official debut of the Renault Latitude model was held. Reviews of the first owners of the novelty, characterized it as a fairly practical car with good technical characteristics, interesting interior and original appearance. All these features made the model a true flagship of the French manufacturer. However, the car was created in cooperation with designers from Nissan. The great success of the model in the world markets led to the fact that starting in 2015, the second generation appeared on sale.

The beginning of the second generation

In the salons of domestic dealers, applications for the new version of Renault Latitude were launched in the summer of last year. The technical stuffing of new items of updating practically did not mention. Together with this, the developers slightly modernized the exterior of the car for modern realities, made some changes to the interior and expanded the list of equipment offered to car buyers. The cost of the car, in comparison with the predecessor, depending on the equipment, increased by an amount that is within 75 thousand rubles.

Exterior and dimensions

As already noted above, global changes in the external appearance of "Renault Latitude" did not happen. Together with this, the model has got updated front bumper, head optics, radiator grille and tail lights. Dimensions remained the same and amount to 4897h1832h1483 mm in length, width and height, respectively. As for clearance, it is set at 153 mm. The car weighs 1495 kg.

Interior

Even fewer changes were made to the interior of the car. First of all, in the new generation of Renault Latitude, upholstery materials are used with higher quality materials. The dashboard was updated and received a new multimedia system with a seven-inch touch screen. The car boasts a rather large amount of free space inside. In addition, the machine is characterized by excellent ergonomics. The luggage compartment can accommodate up to 477 liters of cargo.

Main characteristics

The basic power unit for the model was a four-cylinder gasoline engine with in-line arrangement, the volume of which is two liters. The motor is able to develop 139 "horses" and meets the requirements of the "Euro-4" standard. It functions in conjunction with a stepless variator-type box. To accelerate to "hundred" from the place of the car in this performance takes about 12 seconds of time. As for fuel consumption, in the mixed cycle, the Renault Latitude model consumes about 8.3 liters of gasoline. The choice of potential buyers offers more powerful options for power units.

Chassis

The car is built on the basis of a front-wheel-drive platform. It uses a completely independent suspension, which is based on the front on the "McPherson" type, and on the rear - on the multi-link construction. Steering rack control is supplemented with a hydraulic booster. On the driving wheels are installed disc ventilated, while the rear - disk simple brakes. The abundance of additional systems and assistants in the basic version of the novelty can not boast. In particular, only a standard kit consisting of ABS, EBD and BAS is provided here.

Packages and prices

On the domestic market the car is delivered in four variants of a complete set. In the simplest of them, the developers provided 17-inch wheels, fog lights, fabric interior, trip computer, six airbags, electronic mirror adjustment and much more. In the next configuration, the cruise and climate control, rain sensors, a rear-view camera, a control system for the so-called blind zones and bi-xenon headlights are added to the list. As for the cost of the Renault Latitude model, the price of cars in domestic salons starts from the mark of 999 thousand rubles and can reach 1439 thousand rubles in the maximum configuration.
