Inflammation of the liver is a dangerous disease. Symptoms, types, prevention

Inflammation of the liver is a dangerous disease that carries with it the death of tissue sites and in the worst case a fatal outcome. Being the largest gland of the human body, it performs a lot of vital functions. One of the most important purposes of the liver is the defense of the body, which manifests itself in neutralizing the action of numerous poisons produced during metabolic processes, or falling with food. With a large number of harmful substances, the body's work fails, its functions are violated and this causes an inflammatory reaction.

Inflammation of the liver can be caused by various reasons.

  1. Hepatotropic viruses. They are divided into several types, infection occurs when contact with the virus carrier.
  2. Alcoholism. The action of ethyl alcohol is disastrous for all body systems, including for the liver. Her cells die under the influence of alcohol, instead of fat deposits appear , and the gland does not cope with its protective function.
  3. Drug poisoning of the liver. In addition to their direct prescriptions, many drugs also have side effects due to the chemical composition. But in this case, with the withdrawal of the drug, the inflammatory process stops.
  4. Gall stagnation. The outflow of bile, which the liver produces, is broken, and, stagnating in the organ, it causes the disease.

Inflammation of the liver can be both acute and chronic.

Very dangerous is the acute form. Symptoms are most pronounced, manifested by pain in the hypochondrium on the right side, darkening of urine, vomiting, high fever. Self-treatment can only exacerbate the process and kill precious time. In such cases, emergency medical care is necessary. Untimely treatment of a specialist in acute form often leads to death.

Chronic inflammation occurs in different ways, sometimes the symptoms are weak, sometimes more vividly. The cause of worsening may be malaria, alcohol abuse, stagnant masses in the large intestine. With all the prescriptions of the doctor, home treatment is possible.

Inflammation of the liver is called viral hepatitis, which has several types:

- viral hepatitis (A, B, C, D);

- Hepatitis caused by alcohol or drug poisoning;

- Cholestatic hepatitis.

Much less often there are other inflammatory processes, for example, parasitic forms such as echinococcosis, liver abscess, various tumors.

Treatment of liver diseases is prescribed by a doctor and depends on the degree of its damage and on the form of the disease.

To avoid inflammation it is recommended to follow strict preventive measures. First of all it concerns personal hygiene. Hepatitis A viruses, for example, are transmitted at the time of ingestion of contaminated food and are excreted naturally. Therefore, if the elementary health standards are not observed, the pathogens of the infection can calmly "walk" to a nearby person.

Another way of getting into the body in hepatitis viruses. B, C and D. They are transmitted to a healthy person with the biological fluids of already ill people during blood transfusion, with multiple use of syringes, during sexual intercourse. Here you can not do without strict rules of prevention.

Hepatitis A and B can be prevented by vaccination. This primarily applies to people traveling to other countries, especially in those countries where outbreaks have been observed repeatedly. In blood-related work, the use of gloves is considered a mandatory requirement, when using condoms, it would be appropriate to use protective equipment during sexual intercourse.

Treatment of liver diseases is prescribed by a doctor, because it requires special medical knowledge. There are, however, several folk recipes that stimulate recovery.

  1. Daily application of juice of one beet and one radish in a proportion 1: 1.
  2. Juice from sauerkraut (in the mornings for a month).
  3. Infusion of one tablespoon of dill fruit (daily reception).

And, of course, a healthy lifestyle with a special diet.
