Georgian wedding is the most bright and cheerful celebration

The wedding has always occupied a special place in the cultural life of all the peoples of the world, and every person in particular. This event is a responsible step of two loving people on the way to a new coexistence. And it is not surprising that such a serious event is closely related to national traditions and rituals, which have been preserved since ancient times.

So, the most cheerful, but at the same time very chaste is the Georgian wedding. Its main distinguishing feature is its multitude. The celebration is invited from five hundred to a couple of thousands of guests. To become a participant in the solemn event is considered a great honor, refusal will become a serious insult to the newlyweds.

The Georgian wedding, perhaps, is the most musical in the world. The polyphonic chorus sings national songs, young slender jigits dance the Lezginka cheerfully, and the newlyweds themselves perform the delightful dance of Kartuli. In addition, the people of Transcaucasia have a special custom, according to which the bride is dancing a solo dance. Such an enchanting spectacle will hardly leave anyone indifferent, because Eastern women are endowed with amazing grace and plasticity.

It is interesting that Georgian wedding dresses are bought not only for the bride, but for both mothers of brothers. The bride's dress is usually a traditional white color, it also has a flared down silhouette, but the presence of all kinds of causing cuts and deep decollete is categorically forbidden. The head of the bride is decorated with a veil and a national cap (chihti-copy), decorated with colorful embroidery. The groom also wears a festive white suit (chocha) and high black leather boots.

By tradition, before entering the house of the future husband, the girl is smeared with honey lips, so that her speech is hence sweet and sweet. The bridegroom must get on the roof of his home and let loose a white bird.

But it is well known to everyone the well-known tradition of abduction of a beloved, one can say, goes to the past. Today, a young man can steal his bride only with her own consent.

No Georgian wedding can do without solemn toasts, which have long been popular throughout the world. Each guest on the holiday is given the opportunity to say a toast, and all sayings are carefully listened to from beginning to end. Warm, wise and benevolent wishes to the newlyweds sometimes take the form of a parable.

Toast must be pronounced with a glass of excellent wine in your hands. The noble drink in most cases is made by the parents of the future spouses or their immediate relatives. In addition, on the festive table there are mineral waters and, of course, all sorts of dishes. The Georgian wedding is rich in generous treats, such as khachapuri, chahokhbili, khinkali, satsivi and shish kebab.

As in all marriage ceremonies, it is customary for newlyweds to give gifts. A special entry is made in the special book about who gave what and what. And if later there will be an opportunity to go to the celebration of any of the guests, then the gift should not be cheaper than what the person once gave.

According to the old Georgian custom, it is customary to give a wedding to the wedding - decorating their tree. It is believed that this thing will bring prosperity and happiness to the newly-made family.

In general, the weddings of the peoples of the world are remarkable and peculiar in their traditions and customs associated with offering to the newlyweds. So, practical Japanese give only money, originally laid out in the form of a fan. The French - famous romantics, are presented with almond candies packed in expensive boxes. Papuans give newlyweds skins of exotic birds, and Vietnamese - watermelon seeds.

Such funny, and sometimes even absurd, traditions were born many decades ago, as well as the wedding ceremony itself. And it is quite reasonable that most of the peoples of the whole world do not dare to neglect old customs, because a wedding is a special sacrament, to which one must be treated with great seriousness and responsibility.
