Ancient Peloponnese: the sights of the Greek peninsula

The sights of Navplion consist of three fortresses: Burdzi, Acronapplia and Palamidia. The first belonged to the Venetians and until 1930 there lived an executioner. The second was built on a hill in the 15th century, and its bas-relief is decorated with the image of a Venetian lion. The third fortress is the largest in Greece, it was built in 1710. It was under the control of both Turkish troops and Greek militiamen. At one time, the Peloponnese saw the fierce and bloody battles.

The sights of Ancient Corinth are known only for the well-preserved ruins of the once great city. From the temple of Apollo, built in the V century BC, there are several columns. In the local archaeological museum you can see all the finds of archeologists, among which there are mosaics, vases, ornaments. It is worth visiting and the upper Corinth, where the chapels, mosques, as well as the fountain of Haji Mustafa still working.
